Beware Bump Caput

One of the joys of living in China is coming across amusing English translation attempts. Here's one I caught today as I was walking down some stairs. In Chinese it reads, "Be careful of bumping your head." The actual translation made me giggle.

A more proper translation is "Watch your head." ("Mind your head" for Hayley.)

Defining "caput"
According to the dictionary, "caput" is a synonym for "head." It also means "a headlike protuberance on a structure" and I believe that is the more common usage. Don't worry, I had to look it up, too.
