Great Ocean Road By
UVApril 10th 2007 Ever since we started driving along the Great Ocean Road, I've noticed it. The sea here is just different than in New-Zealand. I don't know if it's the limestone cliffs, the sandy beaches, hoards of surfers or even the shape of the waves, but it's definitely nicer. More inviting. It even smells more like the sea.
And I'm saying this in spite of the fact we ignorantly found ourselves in this vacation country right in the midst of the Easter holiday and the place was a bit crowded. Despite that, just taking it slowly, driving small distances, stopping in a nice beach or bay to have lunch, take a dip or just to look at the sea, resulted in a really relaxed, "laid back", kind of vacation. Turns out that running around to see everything possible in a given area is not the only way you can spend a vacation.
Strange.
