Dog decided he was a biker dog!
Thursday night at the Dive Club was kiddies fun night. Jeff and I arranged the fun and game with Emily’s help. About 18 kids turned up to play. I entertained them during our dive club meeting with put the tail on the rabbit and colouring. We hopped down to the changing rooms and got in the pool for ball related fun. After an ‘egg and spoon race’ (ball and sieve) and a ball collection competition the pool turned to chaos. The kids loved it, the adults survived just… thank goodness it is over!

Friday Wayne and I sanded my mum’s kitchen surface for about 5 hours… a long day for me as I had an early start walking the dogs, cleaning upstairs, pumping my bike tyres, checking my car oil etc. We finally left Braintree at about 9pm got to Wayne’s showered changed and headed out for clubbing at Escape.

Saturday I got my own bike helmet so now my head doesn’t rattle when Wayne takes me out on the bike. We had lunch out and then I walked my mums dogs. We reconvened later at Wayne’s house and decided to go out on the bike to test the helmet. Wayne took me to Felixstow to the view point. We watched the big boats coming in with the sun set. Then we got fish and chips at the front before heading to Braintree to see my mum and dad (they had just got in from a holiday to Oman- Mummy was very impressed by her shiny kitchen surfaces.).

Sunday we had a bit of a lie in, exchanged eggs and went to Wayne’s parent’s house. We had a good chat with his mum, got some eggs and headed to Braintree for lunch at my mum’s house. Yummy roast and pudding lots of photos to exchange and we were ready for a nap. More eggs. Back to Wayne’s house for sleep. We had a BBQ at Emily’s mums house and got there at about 7pm feeling refreshed after our snooze. It was a BIG BBQ - spit roasted meat, sausages, dips, salads, veg, salmon. We ate lots more food, had some beers - Emily drove us back to Wayne’s - thank you, where I fell asleep on the sofa!

Monday was a proper slow down day. After a lie in we went to Witham to get my car and go shopping. Watched some telly, I hovered whilst Wayne mowed the lawn, more telly (I think I snoozed some more). Book club night at 7pm so lots of food put out just in time as people arrived. Another good book discussion this time on Germinal - a depressing book set in France pre-revolution about miners and striking.
