the first night
Terri, Leondre and Philline at Monte Casino Hi all,
So we finally made it to England!!
We will first though tell you all about our mad week in Jo'burg!
After a very bumpy and terbulant flight we landed in Jo'burg! Then we got a bit lost trying to find Leondre's brothers car at the airport, which he had left for us to use. We found it eventually and made our way to my Aunt's house who we would be staying with for the week. She unfortunatly got stuck at work so we had to entertain ourselves for a few hours in the mall until she arrived home! When she got there it it was just enough time for us to get changed and head out the door again to meet Leondre's friends at a Monte Casino pub.
The next day we went shopping and then out for more drinks at the local keg where leondre use to work back in the dayand just caught up on old times. Saturday was busy as we went off to the rugby at ellis park terri's first jhb experience with the lads to watch Lions vs Brumbies which was cool, but we freakin lost!!(Leondre's friends were more
The Rugby
Terri enjoying her first rugby match!! (and dop!) interested in the teenage cheerleaders than the game tho, so they didnt even notice when we lost!!)
But after the game we drowned our sorrows in a jamaican style pub (good old cool running's) !! which made up for the loss......
Sunday we spent walking around the posh shopping centre in Sandton where we had a very nice pub lunch (notice the pub theme running through the holiday??!!) Although we couldnt buy anything as our bags were already too full!! but we'll make up for it when we get back with our pounds hehe
Monday we went to Gold reef city to celebrate our one year anniversay (which was actually the next day) as on the actual day we had a lot of boring jobs to do! got a bit lost on the way there though!! When we finally made it there, after almost being directed to the middle of Soweto, we had an awesome day going on all the rides!!(the ones that were working anyway!!)
Tuesday the 3rd of april was our official one year anniversay , but had to do other stuff such as a TB x-ray for Leondre and the dentist for me!
The Rugby
The lads... We also went to say goodbye to Leondre's Gran and other family in Jo'burg.
Wednesday moved in with some of Leondre's family friends in a very nice guest house and we finally had a nice relaxing day by the pool!! (Thanks again John and Lynda!!) That night we went out for a final dinner with Leondre's friends to say goodbye!!
Thursday was spent doing more window shopping and we went to say goodbye to Leondres other ouma (gran) then back to the house for some boring packing!! which was a mission and terri sulked alot because she couldnt get all her shoes in!! So made Leondre take most of them in his bag!!
Friday was sadly our last day and we went to Terri's Aunts house for a traditional S.A braai which was very nice, then all too quickly our lift to the airport arrived (Thanks Ashley and Taryn!!) and we were finally off to the airport, where Simon met us and we had a final farewell drink (again in a pub!! haha!!)
