Markets at Notting Hill
We are officially no longer homeless 😊 We've found ourselves a nice one bedroom unit in Pimlico (SW1) just down the road from Victoria Station.

It's in a sort of terrace house with one unit per floor (4 in total). We've got the ground floor which means no flights of stairs!! Its a fairly big place compared to the other ones we looked at and has the added bonus of a kitchen in its own room!! As all the other ones were just in cupboards and random things, ha ha, I think we picked a winner. Anyway I'll talk more about the house another time once we've got some photos sorted - well once we clean the house and take some photos more to the point 😉

So on to more exciting stories.... sight seeing! Everyone loves a bit of sight seeing. Barbs has been an excellent tour guide and has literally walked us from one end of London to the other! In no particular order, here's a bit of a summary of what we've done:

- Went to Notting Hill and the Portabello Road markets. Very nice, though VERY busy. Heaps to look at and see and when we have some more time we'll definitely go back there for some more exploring. Had an awesome lunch at a pub near there with a family friend.

- Walked through Kennsington Gardens and Hyde Park on a bit of a squirrel spotting mission (well Adam was, I was hoping for celebrities).

- Took in the sights of Trafalgar Square - and finally read about it so I know what all the fuss is about. Also on the same trip we had a quick wander through the National Gallery.

- Took a walk by the Thames and past Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. I showed my lengthy knowledge of London when I asked - what's that big clock - attached to parliament.. yep didn't know they were all attached but anyway....

- Took a cruise down the Thames from Westminster to Greenwich which was great. We could see all the sights on both sides of the river including London Bridge, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, the Tate Modern etc etc. Adam and I were madly making lists of places to come back to.

Took a walk around Greenwich which is

Shhhhh.... secret squirrel
by far one of our favourite places so far. We had lunch at a really nice pub and wandered round the Royal Naval College. Went to the Painted Hall and Chapel which were so amazing - will attach some photos and see if I can do it justice!

So anyway - you get the picture - there was lots of sight seeing!! Adam and I are totally in the zone now, we're all about the sight seeing. Our list of places to check out every weekend is growing and there's no way we'll get bored in London anytime soon!!
