Hi everyone... heard about the snow at home...UNLUCKY!! its still beautiful sunshine here most days and is well in the 30s today so i'm glad to be in an air conditioned internet cafe. We have done loads since the last blog entry and there are loads of new pics to put on and show you..
We are still living like students and a bit of me thinks this is what living in dorms at Uni must be like, living on noodles etc. The Aussie Backpackers is wicked and organises nights out everyday of the week.. Last Monday went to 'The Empire' where its only $2.50 a pint/snakebite (yes thats a pound a pint!)... then Tuesday it was Girls night at 'The World' bar where for one hour all girls (or men dressed like girls) get as much free champagne as they can drink!!! Twas GOOOD!...Then on Wednesday We went to 'O'Malleys' Irish Bar where jugs of lager are only $6!! and you get a free hotdog with each drink! ............ So We haven't been drinking much at all . . honest.
Last Thursday we took a day trip to the Blue Mountains which we booked through our hostel.
it was so beautiful and the sky was crystal blue allday so we were really lucky to have good views (as you can see from the pics). first we visited the Olympic Park where the Sydney 2000 olympics were held, with some amazing stadiums on site. Then we drove in the Blue Mountains (named after the Blue haze seen on a morning from the oil of the ucaliptus trees)...we saw our first wild kangaroos and the guide had to tell us what to do if we saw snakes, we saw a missive lizard longer than a metre! then went for lunch at the main viewing point for the 'Three Sisters' which are 3 rock formations famous in the Blue Mountains. Then we put loadsa extra suncream on and went for a long walk down the steepest stairs in the world (no Ant didn't fall) and we walked through rainforest around the bottom of the cliff to a skytrain which is officially the steepest train in ther world back upto the top! was brill! then we stopped at a gorgeous waterfall on the way back to sydney!
On Friday we went to the famous Taronga Zoo in Sydney Harbour.. another
fantastic day- weatherwise even hotter!! best zoo i've ever been to, we had our picture taken with a koala and touched a seal! we saw loads of other animals; (mam would of loved the bears!) giraffes, zebras, orangutans, lions, tigers, and saw an amazing bird show which overlooked the Harbour. Free massive BBq at the Hostel again on the night!! woohoo
Oh Yes!! St Patricks Day.. of course we were Irish for the day and went out to buy some cheap green tops.. it was Ollie's birthday and everyone, except Timo who had gone to Tasmania, from room 2 (even though the girls had moved to Bondi) was out, we were all in green and we had a mint night and didn't get very drunk at all... well i'll let you judge for yourselves from the pics.
All we have done since then is Moved to Noah's Backpackers hostel on Bondi Beach but unfortuantly it was crap compared to the Aussie Backpackers and Irish people were causing chaos while we were there.. but it gave us a few days on the beach to top up our tans, and there was a really nice roof terrace which looked over
the beach which was good to sit and eat breakfast looking over Bondi Beach!
So thats about it... your all uptodate... we packed our things up this morning and moved to a big posh hostel called Wake Up right next to the bus station cos we are booked on the 7am bus to Port Macquarie tomorrow then to John and Steph's house at Coffs Harbour on Sunday afternoon!
Hope everyone is ok and its not too cold for you in England! Chow for Now xxx

Helloooo
Hi you two Dora the Explorers!!!! Love the blogs and lurve the pics. I am so pleased you are meeting up with other travellers. They have a wealth of knowledge about places they have visited which will make you want to go and see everything!!!!! Bet your jealous of our snow!!!!! We all know you would have loved to have made snow angels instead of lying on some white powdered beach looking up at fantastic blue skies - that's the price you pay for leaving the UK. Take lots of care of yourselves and have even more fun. Poppy xxxxx
