Well as stated last blog it was freezing and with most of the NY attractions out in the open we decided to venture out on a walk on the first clear day we had. The streets were still clogged with mountains of snow and the little dogs were all wearing their designer waterproof jackets but we were determined to walk through Central Park while in NY. I suppose Central Park is a bit like Hagley Park but on a much much larger scale and with vendors everywhere. Then I saw them.....squirrels!!! Sooo cute and little (thought they were much bigger).
Anyway after window shopping down fifth avenue it was time to turn in so we could dream of what we might have bought.
Yesterday was the big adventur3e... off to Orange County. No one in New York had the faintest idea how to get upstate so we ended up phoning the train station who gave us a vague idea. Well being the kiwis we are a little uncertainty wasn't going to stop us! We got a lift from a great american guy, saw the sights and bought the t shirt!

:)
Squirrels cool:) Running around in Central Park, I would love to see them. Dad told me to tell you that the A380 has landed in New York, on its maiden voyage. It is going to Los Angeles as well. You know him, he would be one of the hundreds going to look at it:) Reading all about your trip, is making us think we might need to visit there one day:) Love Mum XX
