A Hazey beginning!
Totum poles on arriving at Darwin Airportcurrent mood: All worked out!!
Well well well...... it has been some time hasn't it?!?! or is it just the fact that i was maybe uploading to many bloggs through my Asian adventure??? Ahhhhh pish im back on the case and im loving every minute of it!
Ok so i left you last time in Sunny Pattaya where i was kindly put up by my friend Christine who i believe is now on her way through Vietnam!! (hey you i hope your having fun im so jealous) Well i left Pattaya on a night bus that left me in Bangkok airport at around 9pm on the 27th of February! This may i tell you was a real pisser!! So with a night to kill and a tummy to fill i checked my bag into a security section and went in search of food!! Luckily for me i wasnt alone!! My good buddy Sahar texted me to see how i was doing so for a few brief hours i was accompanied by a great bit of banter which left me looking for a chair to sleep on like a big issue seller!

My house mate breezed over to get my bags and check my smelly arse into to board my one way flight to Singapore where i would again have to sit in the airport all day to await my flight to Australia (Darwin to be exact)
Ive got to say.... as you all know my travels began in China!! Now i knew the chinese where always in a rush, always looking to be first on and first off of every type of transport going, first in the macdonalds queue, first through the attraction door!!! Well CHINA...... it doesnt work like that!! if you get on first and go to the back of a shuttle bus you cant expect to get of the f*****g thing first aswell!! I swear they are a race going Backwards (clearly dont mean that). I had old ladies battering me with handbags aswell as snotty upper crust (and might i add Ugly as sin) Bints huffing, puffing and even spitting in my direction in attempt to make me move quicker!! arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrhghgghhhgghgH! Well this Brummy is a stubborn Bastard and i aint moving for no one!
So on the plane that wasn't anywhere near full so all that rushing
went to shit, i sat down and awated my take off which to be fair went smoothly and i hit Singapore airport within the hour it seemed!! think it was two though!
Ahhhh ive heard about Singapore airport. People go there to shop and chill out!! Its massive... Showers.. free internet... free coffee and tea... a real backpackers Haven it would seem?!?!?! Yeah right.......... i got off the plane had a brief chat with a very sexy Californian who also had to spend the day in the airport (so im thinking Happy days) and went through immigration!! I got my 30 day visa stamp and was advised i was to go to the Budget terminal! Ok im thinking (Californian out of the window) so off in search i go in some sort of direction that posted me to this Tiger airways budget afare! All i will say is the budget terminal is BUDGET~~~!!! Nothing there at all so if you kop a bad weather day in singapore airports Budget terminal and you have to spend more than ten minutes there...... Prepare yourself for the most boring, Uncomfortable day of your life!!! Pish to this i'm off Australia!!!

have a good trip son shine the 1st March 2007 at 2:45am i arrive in Darwin with 1000bht (15 quid) to my name! this is travelling!! Luckily for me I had met this guy called Rob in Koh Phi Phi last time i was in Thailand who after keeping intouch with offered me a floor to crash on whilst i got my stuff together!! So after going through the Australian Immigration proceedings that is an absolute joke i called Rob and he was out to get me within 15 minutes!! At around 4am i got to sleep which was so unbelievably comfortable! Cheers son your a ledgend!
Woke at around 9am Rob offered to drop me into town as he had all sorts of things to that day!! So i got showered and went down to the main strip in Darwin central!! Mitchel Street. Into a global Gossip i went to check the emails then over to an information center all about darwin!! I got a wicked bit of advice in there so after walking about sorting out a mobile number and picking up a few odds and sods i got on the blower to give my Canadian Friend Fiona a bell who got straight

have a wicked one hunny up on hearing my voice and came to meet me! Its always wicked to see a familiar face in your travels and to see hers was even better!!
She got me propper sorted, By 3pm i had a job.... a tax code..... a bank account and a beer in my hand with plans to go meet rob for a few more on a mad one with his Brother!! Before that though i spent the Day with Fi and her buddies who all took me under their wing straight away!!! im thinking its the Charm of the Brummy!
So back at Robs we hit the town.... Bar after Bar and then to some nightclub (Discovery)....... banging night i tell you!!! Rob can drink and i more than held my own!~! After talks with him earlier in the night i may be looking at getting the Melville island Job too its all in the pipe line!! Cant wait!
At the end of the night the lights come on and we went off in search of food!! what is the deal with oz and after piss up nosh???? i want chips man not Nachoes!!! infact... i want anything why is
it all shut??? ahh pooHHHH!! So home we went to get soaked by the terential downpore of Darwin!! It rains alot!
The morning or late afternoon came and i was alone in a house that wasn't my own! So up i got and packed my things to move down to a Hostel, called Rob to thank him and moved to the famous Cavenagh! The plan for today was to get in the dorm and get some shut eye......... Tonight i start work in the Vic!! After plenty of pissing about i eventually got to sleep and got up for my night shift at the bar!! Working again it seems as though Asia has just pissed by! The shift was a piece of piss... Bar work just ticks over and the tips arnt always made!! I was glassing all night which pissed me off a bit but never mind on sunday im free to play and a Sunday Seshion at the Cav is on the cards!
Well after my second shift and a struggled long morning sleep (god dam norweigans and dorms) i got up at 11.30 and was greeted by my new mate Brett! ''come down to the

2/125 Smith street, Darwin, 0800 bar'' he said so i did with no money and felt like a right scruge! the Ozzies are sound! they could see my situation and they all got me absolutely pissed!! the day was sweet we all mucked into the banter! Me getting Pommy this and Pommy that i gave as good as i got and they all loved it! i met loads of wicked people and by 4am i was well and truely done in!! Roll on monday morning when i plan to get myself sorted! The bar work has got to be ditched!
So for the next few days the first with a hangover i plodded along waiting for work to start on wednesday in the Vic with hope of finding something else! House hunt after House hunt and Resume after Resume it seemed as though nothing was coming my way when on the morning of my next shift in the vic a Phone call came saying there was a position opening in the Melville line of work! i was chuffed! What great knews! so up i got and went to work on looking for houses before returning for some afternoon sleep before my shift.
On
getting to the Bar they decided i wasnt needed to work and to my shock i left now knowing this type of work had to be ditched! That night i got Drunk!
The following morning i went down to an agency called JobWire who were involved in sorting out positions and pay for Melville island! its all ago me thinks! on returning from there know knowing that was coming my way and also Having a viewing on a two bedroom unit i got a call for 10 days worth of work! Starting in an hour hahahah Arrrrrrrrrrrrgh!! So on my toes i got to get some shitty clobber on and down to the boat yard on the back of Bretts scooter i went!
On arrival we met a guy called Dave Buimonte Smith! He runs a few boats taking Harbour cruises around Darwin! He was also the Boss! the job was simple. the renivation of two Boats. The first being less painful.... we spent all weekend between myself, an English (manchester lad) called Tom, Mark an Ozzie, Brett and Sean Painting and cleaning the interior and exterior of the boat. On monday the work load was to tripple!
Monday came after a longish and very hot few days of painting we rocked up in the Duck pond to see this massive Vessel that needed grinding! We were all to stand underneath the boat and grind of Barnicles that had attatched them selves to the copper on the bottom! The job took a week and the money was good! At the end of the week on the last day i had two Phone calls........ One for Paspaley pearls offering me work in Diving.... and the other Melville...... i start on wednesday! I cant wait... this is after all what im here for! and the bonus is it grants me a second visa! HAPPY DAYS!!!
So from Friday to wednesday i spent my time just awaiting the call for my flight and catching up with tasks of moving into my new house and meeting up with friends! Saturday being my first day off in ten i spent the day wondering around the botanicle gardens With a gorgeous German girl Called Hilke who eventually came to stay with us at my gaff along with Tom from The boat job!! The night of the Saturday was St Patricks day! We
were on it large! Hilke and i planned on getting a bottle of baileys each (hey its Paddies day hehehe) necking it and hitting the town, but in true Travel fashion we got on the beers and fired straight over to the first Irish bar we could find! By the end of the night we were all trashed! Hilke bought baby food hahah (wierdo) and we all crashed out!
Sunday being a massive hangover day i spent my time helping Tom with his Car! he had plans to travel down the east coast and i was to jealous he was going and i wasnt! Messing and dossing around until tuesday i recieved the call to say i was flying to Melville on wednesday morning at 6am!!
I cant wait................... Up at 5 and on my way to the airport i was................
