Well hello,
Haven't written for a couple of days - mostly because our fingers have been frozen! Yup thats right, we got 'stuck' in the middle of a New York snow storm.
Our first day was great and we went straight to Time Square on the subway which wasn't as scary as we first thought. The stations are noisy and dirty but once you know your way around they are great as they take you everywhere - well as long as there is a friendly american to show you which way to go.
Shopping was great although we had to do a bit of 'window shopping' down 5th Avenue!
Our second day was snowing from the moment we got up and was pretty exciting until we realised we weren't equiped for the snow! We ended up going on the sightseeing bus which was enclosed. Was great value though as we saw the whole of Downtown New York.
We ended up getting off at Ground Zero for a very moving experience in the local church and surrounding areas.
Today was fine weather (thank goodness) so we visited the Statue of Liberty in all her copper glory and went to the movies. Wanna hear something weird?? They put hot butter sauce all over the buttery popcorn..... now what does that tell you!

Off to central park tomorrow and hopefully getting up to OCC.

Talk soon

:)
Hot buttered sauce all over the buttery popcorn, it tells me I need to go there:D New York sounds great, not sure about the snow storm though, although that too is an experience. We took Axel out today, he is doing great, we took him to the park to have a run round and to the beach, not sure who was more tired, him or us. We will take him out again next Sunday, I have taken a few photos so will email them to you tomorrow. Night night, talk to you soon, Love Mum xx

New York New York
Hey Guys - sounds like you're having a fab time.....ah New York we remember it well and when you mentioned snow we both shivered just from the memory of walking through Central Park in the snow and freezing wind in our less than snow/wind proof coats - if you haven't already make sure you go for a carriage ride - cheesey as but when in New York......You're such brave little chickens using the subway...or maybe we were just whimps - probably the latter me thinks. Chris' mouth is still watering from the hot buttered popcorn - apparently we have to go back just for that. Looking forward to your next installment and wishing you both well in the mean time. Take Care :)
