Hey everyone,

Sorry for the late update. I've been averaging 4 hours sleep per night since we've been here, and whenever I have free time I choose to spend it in other ways....mostly hanging out with PG, Adam and my new friends Allison and Alexandra!

I'll update this in more detail once I get back home (and add pix) but here are some highlights.

The London Metropolitan Archives:
This building is uglier than sin; it looks like it belongs in the hood, but it's in an good neighborhood (Islington) and it houses lots of really important documents. We had class there 4 times this week and we got to look at the documents. We found all kinds of fun things like people being prosecuted for vagrancy, lewdness, and women having "men make use of their bodies divers and sondry times!" The old books are beautiful, smell like old things, and hard to read.

Cambridge:
I love Cambridge!! I love it more than London! I would totally love to move here. It's a nice little cozy city. It's also beautiful. The 36 colleges of Cambridge are breath taking. It's about a 40 minute or less train ride from London. I would suggest everyone go there. Lots of green spaces and a romantic feeling. Not only is it prettier, cozier, and cleaner than London, the prices there are way cheaper. I swear I've never eaten so many $20 meals (£10 meals) in my life! It's crazy! It's also a wonderful Bohemian like hangout. PG gave us the VIP tour. He really misses it too.

Westminster Abbey:
OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I almost died here! I absolutely adore cathedrals. This was the one place I looked forward to going the most in all of England, and it was worth it. I couldn't stop going "Oh! Oh!" The best was seeing the graves of Elizabeth I and Mary I. But I did the Wayne's World "We're not worthy!" bow over the graves and memorials of the Bronte sisters, Charles Dickens, Thomas Hardy, Charles Darwin, and Issac Newton. It was like seeing celebrities!! It was amazing walking over their bodies! Even though I didn't see them......

The Public Gallery at Parliament:
This wasn't incredibly exciting, but it was definately worth seeing. We got to see MPs in action at both the House of Commons and the House of Lords. (The House of Lords was really pretty.) In the Commons they were discussing education taxes, and in the House of Lords they were discussing possibly implementing interviewing people when they first apply for passports. Adam also got yelled at here. His camera is very nosy.

The Cafe Ciao:
This is a cafe/bar on Charing Cross Road. It may be a chain, but this is the location of the one we went to. If you love ice cream, you'll be in heaven here! Not only is it decently priced, but they have gelato, and all of it is GOOD. They make plates of ice cream look like plates of spaghetti, eggs, and other cool non-ice cream foods.

Let's see....we also saw the play, "The History Boys," went to the British Museum (considered the best museum in Europe), went to the National Portrait Gallery, and just tons of walking around. I'd better go now, but I'll leave you with some quotes we've been coming up with:

Me: I hope I'm not blinding you with my sparkly bosom. (Sitting in the sun in Cambridge wearing a sparkly shirt)

PG: Why is it when you look for a slut you can never find one? (Looking in the case books of 17th century London)

PG: Police=Policing (Making a class lecture on a train from Cambridge)

Alexandra: Boobs and nipples! We're in Britain!! (refering to the TV)

Alexandra: Those aren't boobs, those are small children!

Alexandra and Allison: Freddie Mercury! The last bastion of hope in these troubled times! (There's a huge Freddie Mercury statue by our hotel)
