This is a nice entrance to a decent hotel on this God forsaken road! This part of the road we took to the light house beach was very GOOD! LOL
Today we took a day trip to a nearby little village called La Ribera and then took a really bad road to a wonderful beach which is pretty much deserted and perhaps a "secret". Well, maybe not when one considers that the road to get there is washboard for a lot of miles. I am not even sure how many miles but it took about an hour to get there! But it really was worth it. We cannot imagine how anyone could even consider developing anything in that area because the roads are so bad. But there is develoment going on but not a lot. This development has a great location near the beach ! Mike now thinks that this beach area has been the BEST ever! It really was magnificent. There is a little light house there and actually a lot of shells on the beach which I have missed a lot. Not many of the beaches have many shells. I did find a couple of sand dollars but they were not in very good shape.

On the way home from this beach we took the wrong turn on another terrible washboard road. They all look the same so it is easy to take the wrong one! We finally got on the right bad road and made it back to a main road! Since it was dusk we had to look out for the cattle on the road. They just wander around the area and are not corralled at all!

As we were leaving the RV park this morning, we noticed that the surveyors were out and about so we asked them if they were making preparations for a new road in the near future. They were very happy to announce that yes, they were starting JUST today! Sure enough when we returned , we found the existing ashphalt torn up! Now we are betting how long it will remain in that condition and in what century the new road will be completed! It should be fun getting out of here with the trailer!

I woke up this morning with a really "stuffed" up ear. At first I thought it was just water stuck in there from swimming in the ocean. But since I couldn't get it out, I figured it was my usual "wax" problem. I did NOT want to go to the little clinic here so that was incentive enough for me to irrigate my own ears and get that crap out!! It took about an hour, but I was able to do the job and save some cash and my sanity!! Whew....

So here are some new pics of today's adventure.......
