This is the group that made it ALL the way to the Old Town in Frankfurt. We walked at least 4 miles.
Hello everyone!
We finally made it to Italy! It took over 30 hours to get to our hotel, but it was all worth it. Yesterday morning we arrived in Frankfurt around 10am (3am our time) and decided to make the most of our day by venturing out into the city. With very little knowledge of the city we found the subway train and headed out to the city center. I was trying to bring the group to the most famous section of Frankfurt, but apparently my directions were a bit off and the group ended up walking about 3 miles. Finally we decided to split up for lunch and a few of us finally made it to the Romer, which is the "old" section of Frankfurt. It was so beautiful. We walked around a bit while others had a slow relaxing German lunch and headed back to the airport around 2pm. Some of the students said "McDonalds was gross" and others tried some shopping at Footlocker....but one thing was for certain...everything was "different from home"!

After our flight from Frankfurt to Rome we met our travel guide, Tyson, and took a 4 hour drive down to Sorrento. We were absolutely

exhausted. Luckily this morning we "only" had a 8am wake-up call. Somehow we all managed to get up and head out to the Isle of Capri. It was gorgeous. Not only was the day perfect, but the water and scenery were incredible. Once we arrived to Capri we climbed onboard smaller boats and toured the island from the water. Most of us couldn't keep our eyes off of the water--the color was just mesmerizing.

When we finally toured the island we took this tiny bus up to the top of the mountain. Everyone (including myself) was impressed/horrified by their driving. We tried not to look down! Once on top, most of us took the 12 minute chair lift to the very tip-top to see the views. I can't emphasize enough how beautiful it was.

All in all it's been a tiring yet wonderful trip so far! Tomorrow we're headed to Pompeii and Rome. Everyone is doing fine and getting packed for tomorrow!

Talk to you soon
