The little man!!!The little man!!!The little man!!!

Give him a hug from me.
After leaving Tony in Brisbane I was unsure of my next step and not being a person who likes to plan too far ahead ended up booking into a packpackers in Brisbane and stagnating for a few days.My travels so far had put me in touch with alot of different people,English,Irish,Canadian,Isrealia,American and a whole lot more but I hadnt actually meet many Aussies. With that in mind I broke out the old faithful map and began to plot my next move!

From Brisbane most travellers head straight to Noosa and miss out the whole of the Sunshine coast which by its name I wanted to visit anyway. This coupled with the fact that I hadnt done much kiting in a while drew my to a place called Caloundra.about one hundred kms from Brisbane.

I arrived at about eleven in the morning and as I drove into the town I got a fantastic view of the Beaches and of the twenty or so kites in the air.Like a homing pigeon I followed the kites all the way to the beach and spent the rest of the day watching these guys pull tricks and jumps. As night fell I found a great little park

Had just finished kiteboarding for the day and this is what happened.
with outdoor bbq's,water taps and a shower block that was right on the beach. It was like the place had been designed for travellers.I expected to be woken up early in the morning by an irate warden but the knock never came and I was up bright and early the next day as well.

The kites were back again and I watched them again for a few hours before I walked over and asked a few questions about the kites they had.I still didnt have the courage to get mine out,my kite that is,as these boys were pretty good. The guy I talked to introduced me to the instuctor on the beach,a guy called Dave who said I could have a go of his kite.Feeling alittle worried I took his kite out and done some body dragging, which is using the kite to pull yourself through the water without a board. After swallowing half the ocean but with an aer to ear grin I gave the kite back to Dave and was hooked again.
