WHAT an Experience!
My jump!
Look at my face- this is where the worst nightmares comes true.... war.
My Flight
What a freefall! The scenery, the sky, the sun and just us falling like a stone.... scheint aber wie jemandem anderen passiert zu sein.
The Sky dive
As mentioned above in German, The Sky Dive was a great experience. I havent got a clue what katja has written.. but i can give you guys my account of the skydive. We got there nice and early, i didnt feel nervous or anything like that, i thought i would but i didnt. We waited around and still my nerves held. After about 45 mins I was introduced to the person that will have control over my life for abouts 15 mins. Come to think of it... JESUS i trusted someone with my life that i had only just met!!! He was a big bloke and had been doing his job
My Landing
After first troubles of getting up I showed the full story - even though I was happy to be back on the ground. for 10 years. I felt safe with him. He strapped me in to the harness (he and I got pretty close, a bit too close for me!) As did all of the tandem sky diving instructors with their assigned people. We all had a quick briefing and then it was already time to get into the plane and assend to 15000 feet above sea level!!!
The most frightening part was to reach the altitude we required to jump. There were 9 in total in the plane. The plane was tiny! it was a squeeze with all of us in the plane. I was sat on my diving instructors lap! (see what i was saying about getting too close) There were, we three jumpers. Katja, another person and myself and we were strapped to the tandem dive instructors. Then there were another three camera men on board who will jump before us and capture our experience.
When the doors opened at 15000 feet, thats when i got scared.... It was so fast, the first person to go was the other person. The camera man got out, then they pushed him to the front and out he was, thats it!!
they were gone, me next...
We crawled to the exit and i was pushed out, there wasnt any backing out now. He said to smile to the camera which i did, i looked down and the next thing i knew we were flying thru the air. We were travelling at 200 km an hour towards the ground!! Now this is an experience I will never forget. Its like floating, feeling the air rush past your ears, I tryed to fly like a bird (you can see it on the DVD) but it didnt work, we kept falling. The scenery was amazing, I could see as far as mount cook which was over 200km away. 60 seconds later and i was being pulled out of the air and gliding down on the parachute. The views just got better as now i could really take my time to view the surroundings. It was pretty cold up there but who cares when you have views like these!
We landed on our bums.... its the best way to do it, as that way your instructor does not fall over you and you dont break your legs, you just slide along the grass
Ali jump! Go on!
He looks a bit more brave than I do :). to a stop. And thats it, over just like that. I still havent realised what i have done, but it is slowly dawning on me........

Waoouuu! It sounds absolutely great. Will need to try that once as well. I will just stick to learn how to ski (next week) and diving (April/Mai) - I have loads of things to tell you guys, so many things happening. Really love to get updates from your trip, I can really follow you on the map, that's absolutely great. Xxx
