I just like this photo of her Hi guys well after the events of last week you cant really say too much except that thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by the attacks. Its a bit scary to think that they happened only 2 hours up the road from us and not the other side of the world if we were still in New Zealand. And even scarier when you have friends who are a lot closer than us but luckily are all ok. We were on a train which was heading to London but we were getting off at Bournemouth, the lady on the intercom was saying that 'after a few incidents on the underground and bus services the police are advising that people dont travel to London' she was saying this with big pauses and sounded frightened. I texted Cerian in London who rang me and told me what was happening. It was just as well we were geting off at Bournemouth!!
So Leeza and I decided we had to get out of Yeovil for the day and headed up to the lovely Bournemouth with the intention of lying on the beach catching some rays but the weather was really not cooperating with us. We
Frenchy
strutting her stuff with the pois did however find an Australian Pub called the 'Walkabout' and they do pies......real pies!!!! so who were we to refuse a real pie after not eating one for nearly 3 months?? We found the shopping centre and believe it or not Leeza actually did more shopping than me for a change, (although mum, you may not like her shoes.......they are a good laugh!!) We found the beach and ohhhhhhh my first touch of sand and beach water over this side of the world and my have i been hanging out for that!!! They also have 'Beach Huts' where people hire them for the week or the year and use them like wee bachs/cribs where they change, eat, cook, drink and even sit on deckchairs in front of them. Weird but the photo will show it a bit better. Found a Merry-go-round and well we just had to go on it, you just couldnt not, especially when you are with Leeza.
Had a drink at a pub on the beach, and i think it is a really good concept - a pub right on the beach!!! Had to get a taxi back to the train station coz we really didnt have
Frenchy posing
yeah the wee poser 8) much of an idea where it was in relation to where we were. But a good but weary (the train had come from London Waterloo) train ride back to yeovil.
the next day we woke up to even better weather and changed our minds from going to Bath for the day again to going to Weymouth to enjoy the beach. It was great to finally go swimming in the beach and to just lie there and relax it was great!!!
We also found the shops again and Lezza bought herself 2 skirts, (not one but two) I was impressed coz those of you who know Leeza - yeah she dosent 'do' skirts!!! but not only did she buy 2 skirts she also bought a bunch of ties (suit and tie ties) to make herself a skirt. Then we sat on the beach enjoying an ice cream when we realised we should probably be at the train station catching our train back ( I had work that night) so after a short wee sprint to the station we had the train dorrs shut in our faces as the train hooned away from the platform. So investigation bus back to Yeovil began.
me
Wee frenchy has shown me how to do a couple of tricks with the pois...very cool The bus took twice as long but we did go through loads of little villages and oh my god the little school brats that got off in the villages after leaving mashed bananas and squashed sandwiches all over the bus thank god they got off early!!!! It was the boucyist bus i have ever been on the roads (or should i say lanes) were one vehicle wide and incredibly bumpy the bus actually touched the hedges on both sides of the lanes.
Anyways back to work and yeah disapointed that i get to miss out on the really nice days that could be spent at the beach but never mind.
I think thats me back up to speed so till next time..........Tootle Pip
