Kia Ora!!! Hello All!

I know it has been a little while since I last update but I have finally arrived down in Dunedin about 3 hours ago. We are all staying in a dorm tonight with some more ortientation stuff tomorrow and then I will finally be able to move into my flat and unpack for the first time in almost 30 days!

So this is going to have to be quick but I think the last time I wrote I was in Sydney. I spent my last night there hanging out with a friend I had met on my Contiki tour, which was so much fun. I had a very early morning the next morning and flew over to Auckland on the 1st. Tennille Bramwell, myt counselor at summer camp when i was 14, met me at the airport along with her husband Tregan. They brought me these huge orange sunflowers and then took me back to thier gorgeous home in in Lynfield (just outside of Auckland.) It was sooo cool to catch up with Tennille as I havn;t seen her in 6 years. It was so nice to be in a real house. We went to

Mission Bay and saw this awesome volcano called Rangitoto and had the most massive ice creams. I was pretty tired so had a really nice sleep in the next morning and then sorted out a few things and then went into Auckland for the day. We went up in the skytower and went to the local market where Tennille bought me a bone carving necklace which is really cool. We then went to Tennille's parents house which was so nice. They were so sweet. Later went to Devenport via ferry where we had this awesome seafood dish.

AHHH I am running out of time so am going to have to give a very brief update of the rest...

The next day Emily, another counselor from camp who i hadn't seen in 5 years, met me a Tennille's house and brought me back to hers. It was awesome to see her... it was like we hadn't missed a beat. Emily works as a event planner and was helping to run this international street performers festival which I went to with her family with VIP treatment which was sweet! We had such a good night out!!
The next day her sister had a bit of a e-brake accent and her mom's ccar rolled into the garden...not good. Anyway that got sorted out and we went back into the city for the night...
I met up wqith my Butler study abroad group the next morning and have beenin ortientation sicne then which i will have to write about later....
Bottom line....AWESOME COUNTRY AWESOME PEOPLE!!!!

I will e-mail more once I set up my flat and things and add some more pcitures. i am thinking of you all.

MIss you and love you!

Em

Yeah Camp Mohawk!
Emily- It is terrific that you reconnected with your camp counselors; it sounds like they were fabulous hosts. Will they be nearby (I have to work on my New Zealand geography, for sure). However, the e-brake accident MUST have made you feel like you were at home, as I seem to recall a Mom ebrake mishap with a new car! Can't wait to see more pics! Love you lots, Joni
