Yay For ESkins Hi Emily. I am sooo sooo sooooooo happy for you. Everything you have done down under has amazed me and I've honestly never heard of someone take advantage of life and what life has given them in the way that you have during the past 6 months! I'm so glad you've enjoyed it all and though it's sad to leave, you'll be back, I can tell in the way you talk about everything! Enjoy your last bit of time there, soak it in and safe travels home. Can't wait to see you! -Michael Wood (said in my reg'lar accent)
AH-MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZING! So weird it's fall, but it looks beautiful. Seriously, do you do anything but go find the most gorgeous nature scenes ever? Pretty sweet life. Now that the snowstorms finally quit in the northeast, I'm just excited when I see a patch of green bigger than me bum, to plant myself on. I want to ask you how you prounounce 'Tegan' is it like "Megan" or like "Teee-gan". Did you eat all those yummie apples, i've heard New Zealand is like THE spot for apples. I'm glad you're seeing seasons change over there, must be cool. We'll have a scorching summer for you when you get back to Boston area I'm sure. I'm moving into an apt (at least for the summer, maybe more) in Beacon Hill, so you'll have to come play!! Miss you. MGardinderWood
It's Awesome, Alright! Em- your journal and the pics are wonderful! It is so great that you are half way on the other side of the world and get to see your old camp counselor and her two beautiful daughters and her lovely home...and share that with all of us. How much does it rain there? We are emerging from a cold rainy miserable few weeks, months it seems, and the sun is energizing. Every picture you post is so panoramic and spectacular, Mother Nature seems particularly glorious in New Zealand. And it seems like you're thriving there! We miss you lots. xoxo Joni
Get's better every time! Emily Skinner, I think you are the most outdoorsy person I"ve ever met, by the looks of all these photos. Reading your blog has been the most convinced I have ever been that I need to get myself down there some day! Keep enjoying yourself and DAMN that's some nice leg extension w/the pose between the two boulders!hahah. Miss you!

Love your 21st bday outfit! You look fantastic! Sorry to hear that you won't be making it back to the USA for Nationals... Hope all is well and keep the blogs coming!

Coooool dude Skydiving!!?!! I can't wait to see the DVD of that! I did see some of those St. Patty's Day photos, and they are deeelightful. Keep having fun! -Michael (in a british accent, ahem!) p.s. eaten any sheep testicles lately?
The Adventures of the Skins!! Hey Em, only you would do this fab journal so that everyone can follow you on your awesome adventure of NZ!! Am totally jealous, minus the study part since I am not actually sure how you are managing to get it all done!! Looking forward to your Birthday event entry, hope you are having a great day and even a better night!! Chat soon, Love Han xxxxxxxxx
WOW!!! Emily you continue to amaze and inspire us. Sitting here at the end of mud season looking at the scenery is hard to take. WE ARE SO ENVIOUS of the weather, scenery and just plain fun.
XXOOXX Linda, Brian and the gang
you so crazy Emmmmmmmmm,
I don't think any of my comments have successfully stuck on your comment wall, but I thought I'd try once more. SO great to follow along on your adventures. Great photos and fun stories! I can't believe you went sky diving! I chickened out when my friends went in Spain, but I'm soooo glad you did it. Maybe someday...
Keep us all posted. Keep the adventures coming!!!
xoxo
ENVY! Have been following your adventures-scenery is amazing and we are all still wondering how you have time or the inclination to do any work! The ground was covered with snow for our annual St. Patrick's Day dinner. Wish we'd had some of those delicious testicles. Yummy. Love from Brian, Ian and Linda
damnnnn Testicles Emily? wowowowow That's priceless. It looks like you are having so much fun in NZ! In CT we are getting a foot of snow right now so I am so excited to leave for DC on Tuesday for Rugby. I hope that your Achilles is not too damaged :)
Enjoy!
Elise
Lordy I like how I go abroad to Paris and eat cheese, wine and you go abroad and eat ostrich and testicles! Haha. I hope you brushed your teeth real good afterwards! I love all your photos and it looks like so much fun! Oh and p.s. I know we have lots of fun speaking in our "propah brittissssh acCENTS" but it'd be really cool if you could come back with a Kiwi accent. Think you can swing that one for me?!! Keep having fun!
Hi Em! Em it is so wonderful to hear about your adventures. Do you think you could figure out how to use sails with kayaking for ASA??? It sounded like so much fun! It looks like Nate is going to Florida for ASA for a month to try to get the program straightened out, or up and running, I'm not sure which. They had a great week down there, but the transition to a full time program is wrought with challenges! Also, MHC basketball just got into the NCAA Div 3 championships for the first time ever and are apparently playing at Bowdoin! Wish you were there (not really- you're right where you should be!). Lots of hugs, Joni
Hi Em! Emily,
Thanks so much for the Australian goodies. We are following your trip and so so envious! The Tri-town is full of coyotes and deer these days-wish we had som cute koalas!
Ian is being dismissed from Spaulding as he is doing so well and they have suggested that he start taking college courses. He will be starting two classes at Merrimack in March-one in Fine Arts and the other in Environmental Economics. Brendan had knee surgery and did some recovering back in Boxford which was great for all of us-family togetherness and all.
We are really enjoying the photos and hearing about life down under.
Much love Linda, Brian and the gang XX00

Yeah Camp Mohawk! Emily- It is terrific that you reconnected with your camp counselors; it sounds like they were fabulous hosts. Will they be nearby (I have to work on my New Zealand geography, for sure). However, the e-brake accident MUST have made you feel like you were at home, as I seem to recall a Mom ebrake mishap with a new car! Can't wait to see more pics! Love you lots, Joni

Love you lots! Emily- Great pics from down under- did you take the pic of the turtle and is it under water? It looks glorious, but was especially happy to see the one of you and the koala. We're looking forward to New Zealand probably as much as you are! Keep safe! xoxo Joni
fell behind Skinner!
I don't know what happened, but I thought I subscribed to get updates on your blog, but it got messed up, so I am just now catching up on your journey since LA. Sounds like you are having a great time! I loved the picture of you with the koala. And careful of those kangaroos...they are mean!!! I'm so glad to hear you are having a great time. And by the way, just as a heads up as you approach the month mark of your trip, don't worry if you get stuck on the Study Abroad emotional roller coaster. We all do. If you get the blues along the line just remind yourself that it's an adventure and you are in freaking AUSTRALIA!
Take care,
Katie Swan
