How much?!?!
One very expensive avocado and one very expensive mango. Savour each bite eh? Today was a stay-at-home day.
Dave went to work, got ribbed by the guys, and I stayed in bed. Being squired around town for the past couple of days like a rockstar has taken its toll on me. UGH. Being a Party Princess isn't easy ya know!
So nothing much to report today. I caught up on my blogging and have downloaded the pics from Dave's camera.
The weather has turned and although it's still warm, the thunderclouds have rolled in and we finally got rain this afternoon. A traditional Oz phrase is: "Oh, but we need it." Australia is one of the most rain-deprived countries and is going through a water crisis at the moment. They are currently experiencing one of the worst droughts in history. But not to worry... I can still flush the toilet and wash my hair.
So went over to the mall (again), looked around, went food shopping and let me tell you... things ain't cheap over here! I bought 2 mangos for $2.98 (EACH) and two avocados for $2.98 (EACH). Holy moley! It'd be cheaper to import them from South America. If I had been entrepreneurial, I would've brought a whole case of bananas with me and sold them at half the price; at one time they were $18.00/kilo - can you imagine?!?
Pretending to be a domestic goddess, I made dinner tonight. Jerk chicken, corn on the cob, and mashed potatoes. I even cut up one very expensive mango and some melon in an attempt to eat healthier. You'd be amazed how good fruit tastes with ice cream and chocolate syrup on them.
All-in-all a quiet day. No one got food poisoning, which is a good thing, so I can continue to keep everyone amused with this blog. OH! Excitement on the back step this evening. One disgusting, hairy, LARGE, spider was crawling all over my unsuspecting host. I, of course, saved the day by screaming and then swatting the offending spider off his back. (shudder) It was very brave of me.
Bed time. We're having a late night snack before going to Club B.E.D. Keep your fingers crossed that I don't have nightmares... but then again, I'm not the one who has to work in the morning. hee hee hee
Drama of the day: Mr. Simms burned his ass in the hot cell at work - serves him right for showing off to the recruits and not wearing his padded leggings. Hmmmm... I was wondering why I got a special request for antiseptic ointment while I was at the mall... LOL

Lovin the Blog!
Dude, can't tell you how much we're enjoying the blog! Very entertaining, it's like we're there with you. Glad to know you're safe and having a good time, sorry about the unscheduled swim/dunk... drama queen. The girls are watching for their postcard! Joey and his family are coming over for a skate in the backyard this weekend, I'll share the blog with him if that's okay with you - he was asking about you today. Keep safe my friend.
