Well today we hit the wonder of Bryce and the 'hoodoos'. I remember as a child thinking that the rock towers looked liked people's faces, and this impression still sticks after visiting the park today. It has to be one of the most beautiful places I have visited, and I even bought a poster (and sadly a geological cross-section poster too!). Alex and I spent ages sitting overlooking the 'amphitheater', he drawing and me writing my journal. It was lovely and warm in the sun, and so peaceful. We only saw 2 other people the whole time. The colours are wonderful, especially with the snow caps.

I wont bore you with an entire account of what I thought, but lets just say we loved it, and I'm so glad to have some back.

On an entirely different subject my 'donut' got a puncture today that wont seem to be mended so I am travelling in somewhat less comfort- tommorrow I shall see if two neck pillows can act as a substitute!

Hi guys! Wow you have updated loads and I haven't been keeping up with it! I've been to a fair few of the places you've visited so far...so jealous you camped in death valley! I've driven through it but I'd love to sleep in it. You didn't get bitten by snakes or anything? And hey did you meet mobile margie? She sells jewellery in the middle of the desert :D

great photo
So pleased to see in the photo you emailed us, that Anne was crouching in the photo and had her boots on! Hopefully the fall is not proving to be too problematic in getting around? Two neck cushions sound a good alternative! Think Bryce Canyon looks amazing.
