Nope we're not, but it doesnt mean to say we cant celebrate Australia Day!!!! (we are temporary residents, it says so in my passport!).
When we walked past a group of people on Friday (australia day) their response was 'they're probably not even from oz' after we didnt carry on the 'ozzie ozzie ozzie' with a 'oi, oi'oi'' they were right 😊.
Everyone gets the day off and gets to walk around in aussie flags and cork hats 😊. For our first australia day we had a bbq and then on the night walked up to Kings Park, it was 40'c at 9pm!!! the wind was like sitting next to a heater, boiling!!
We found a nice spot in the park and were soon joined by a family from Billingham behind us!!! Billingham!! the other side of the world on australia day and we've got an english family from down the road behind us, complete with a small child in a boro shirt!!!
As we sat there watching the amazing skyworks show (just a posh word for fireworks i think) we looked up in envy at a party happening at one of the posh penthouse apartments overlooking the river...one day we thought....one day 😊.
We definatley think now that there should be an English day of some sort 😊
Well, apart from our Australia day we havnt been doing too much, it has been over 40'c three days in a row and thats hot!! No jobs yet, we are looking though honest 😊 and we have just set up an Australian bank account so we need some money to go in it now 😊.
Anyway, hope everyone is ok and not too snuffly with the cold english weather 😊.
Speak to you soon x x x x x x x

G'day
Hello glad you enjoyed australia day :) When my sister went to Oz she met somone there who's best mate lived in the same street as Nikki (my sis' travelling buddy) in Eaglescliffe!!! It is deffo a small world. And the day they arrived in Perth the local football team had won some trophy for the first time in years so the male supporters ran down the street naked in celebration! Now that's wot you call a welcome. Haha. Good luck with the job hunting. Love Emma x
