We made it!!

Hi

After a couple of emotional goodbyes and me (Sarah) making a prat of myself going through security (I dropped the contents of my see through plastic bag on to the floor when they asked to look at my passport and boarding pass, opps) we were on our way. The fight was good and we got to Bangkok at about 3.30pm. We had a quiet first night, taking in the sounds and smells of Bangkok. Our first day we went to the Grand Palace which was amazing. The rest of the day we went to the pool and then shopping down the Khao San Rd. The next day we went and saw Wat Pho which is a Buddist temple. On the way we were stopped by some school kids who asked if they could practice their english on us. They asked us a few questions and then kindly took us to the temple (as we didnt have a clue where we where going, and as it turned out they didn't have much of a clue either. But we got there in the end). It was great, it was like having our own fan club following us, we tried a couple of times to start conversations but their english wasn't great and it all got a bit confussing. Once at the temple they then subjected us to a bit of a photo shoot. God knows where these images of Jo and I looking pink faced and sweaty will end up!!. Jo and I are leaving today to go to Koh Tao, we have booked to go on a four day scuba diving course. We can't wait to get to the Island and start the course. We have made friends with a girl called Ros and her mate Bob. They moved on to Koh Tao yesterday so we are going to meet up with them when we get there.
