Alright I´m going to take this time to answer some questions that have been posed to me about Mexico, the food, the people, the culture, as well as just what i´ve been doing day to day.

Mexico is nothing like America (well except for the costcos, walmarts, cineplexes, and the amount of Abercrombie and Fitch that is worn). Mexico in general is very laid back and open. Buildings do not have air condition or eating, windows are open year round, and the sun shines for most of the day. The food has a good flavor, do´not get me wrong, but if you know me you know how i feel about meat. Meat in america is already something I do not really like and then to come here where it is verryyy different is hard. Our madre tries very hard to make it so I will eat it lol. There are not regulations on what one can sell on the side of the street so a person can fix food in their house then sell it on the street. It all smells sooooo goood lol I promise though that I am only eating at ¨semi-sketchy¨places lol. The culture - well lets say Mexico has a hospitality that some would relate to southern hospitality. People say hello to you on the street, walk up to you in the clubs and ask you to dance. The men are much more forward(and overall better dressed - 95% of the men here would be considered by our standards metrosexual). When I say forward they will come up to you, take your hand, salsa with you then ask you for your number. They have no problem asking one to dance or talk or go out. Just for all you who are wondering, the guys here are cute and many of them are not short hahaha

Our family - Words can not describe how good they are to Regina and me. Our mother tries and does all she can for us while working more then fulltime. It is trully amazing how they have accepted us into their family.

The Weather - ITS WINTER and this should kind of tell you what the temperature is like. I´m wearing a skirt and a tee shirt with flip flops. Crazy right. There are flowers in bloom year round, and in our backyard at the casa, there are trees full of lemons (well limes by our standards) and bushes of blackberries.

My day to day is always a lot of fun. I get up shower, have a small breakfast and then off to school to learn lol. Well more like practice my spanish skills. In the mornings I have a conversation session where I sit in a garden with a pool and chat with a young professor (when I say young i mean 23/24). There we discuss just about anything that comes to mind. Every hour there is a 10 min break. AT 11 I walk down the street to what would be considered a satellite campus for my grammer class which is 3 hours. BLAHH. I will say as long as it is, i have yet to fall asleep lol. At 2 our madre or padre picks us up and we sit in traffic for ever. Most times we do not arrive home until 2:45. AT this point it is time for lunch. Lunch is at the min. 2 courses. Typically 3. It is very different and sometimes difficult because as my mom will tell you and know Regina, I am ALWAYS hungry. AFter we eat , what we do is up to us. Sometimes i sleep by the pool (yes there is a pool) or Go to El Centro and see the shops or whatever happens. On Mondays and Wednesdays we have been taking salsa lessons with a few other friends and it has been going great. I LOVE THE SALSA!!!! Some nights we go out to the discotecas and dance and salsa the night away.

Yesterday, after salsa lessons Regina and I went ot the movies with a friend. We splurged (6.50) and did CINEVIP. CINEVIP being where you go into a special theatre where you pick ur seat. The seats are full leather recliners and they have a full restaurant and bar. Once in the theatre you can ring a server and order from your seat and literally have dinner at the movie. It was great and for the cost, it is worth doing at least once. We say El Descanso. It was a late night because the movie was so long. AFter the movie though I was starving so we stopped off for a few tacos at a little place on the street. IT WAS SOOOOO GOODDDD!!!!!! When we got back home I had to finish studying and packing and cleaning.

I am already for the beach and we leave today at 4:30. It should be a lot of fun. We saw pictures of the hotel that we will be staying at and it is on the beach. Of course I will be blogging abt it from the beach to keep you filled in.

I´ve got a test this afternoon, so i´m going to sign off for now. But before I do that I have some messages for a few people

MOM - I hope you and dad are going to your dance classes lol
DAD - I miss you and everything is going great i super promise do not worry abt your baby girl (if that is possible)
