Ever the professional - I still couldn't see because of the hat!
Well after the Mollendeo experience it was off to Huacachina for the desert experience, yes that's right Peru has desert and I can tell you now that not only is there a lot of it but it is also the driest in the world. Then to top it off not only is there desert but oasis’s as well, so for all you non believers they really do exist! (Not just in fairytales)

Spent the whole day doing the stupid adrenalin pumping stuff that I normally get all excited about. The sand buggies were like being at Alton Towers without the rails or the safety and the boarding was in preparation for New Zealand. On the second to last drop a girl managed to skittle another guy at the bottom and ended up needing stitches. Obviously I wasn't getting enough attention, so I decided to nearly blind myself (no, it wasn't on purpose really mom) by landing face first into the sand and not shutting my eyes. I then spent the next 20 mins trying to wash sand out of my eyes after having given them a good exfoliation by immediately rubbing them after the event.

I proceeded to find

One of the many sand dunes
sand for the following week in not only my clothes but still picking it out of my eyes - just to remind me of the traumatic experience I had been through

It all added to the thrills……Great Day Out!
