This morning we were up very early for a round of golf!

Dan, Paul, Steve and Paul's friend John were all playing 9 holes at the local course, while Gloria and I went along for an early morning stroll and to keep score.

Unfortunately Dan was playing with standard length clubs which are too short for him. After topping quite a few frustrated shots and not performing as he might well have done- but also realising that everyone was of a similar standard, it wasn't a serious game and we all had a great laugh.

The rest of the day was spent chilling out at Paul & Gloria's having lunch together, swimming in the pool, playing with their dogs Doogie and Millie.

The evening was spent watching the international game Australia v England in the Twenty Twenty cricket. These tickets were bought months ago back in the UK, as a last night treat for Charlotte, Dyce, Dan and I as we all go our seperate way tomorrow (us to New Zealand, them continuing their tour of Oz). As you can imagine, beer was a-plenty!

The atmosphere in the SCG stadium was electric after the test match win of 5-0, and England fans were desperate to beat them. The chanting was hilarious, we were sat right next to the Barmy Army!

The other great thing about 20/20 is they play music throughout, so Charlotte and I were in our eliment singing and dancing in our seats! For a virgin to the game of cricket, this was the perfect way to introduce me to what is normally considered by me as a boring game! This is now offically called 'girlfriend friendly cricket' well by me at least.

As you can imagine, the game was a dead sirt, Australia won by at least 77 runs and even still that flattered the dire English players who can't bowl at the moment, certainly can't catch and look terrified of the Aussie bowlers when batting.

The English fan's started to leave 2/3rds of the way through as the realisation hit, it was impossible for us to win! We stuck it out, if northing else, it was a great party atmosphere and the Aussie fans kept our spirits up, even if their chants are rubbish and we do it much better- if we could be bothered to continue!

We said our last goodbyes until we see each other again in August 07- Big hugs and kisses all round then went off to catch our bus.

Short clubs??
Clare it really wasn't fair that you put Dan's excuse for poor golf down. You make it too easy. Dan, whatever helps you sleep at night mate.
