The New Years creweThe New Years creweThe New Years crewe

We raided the local convenience store and setup camp on the beach ahead of the big fireworks display.
Sydney round 2
Arrived back in Sydney after another night of no sleep and we made our way over to Manly to meet Ray, who kindly offered to put us up for a few days as we could not get any accom in Sydney. We headed straight out to the beach to meet up with some of Rays pals who are really cool and then went to all go and play lawn bowls together. BOWLS, I here you say! Don’t knock it I tell you, it was a good laugh and requires some serious skill. Jo was naturally very good at it and beat everyone. We all headed out for some nice food and headed back to Rays as we were shattered. Ray had kindly bought an airbed for us to sleep on but had forgot to buy a pump! So we had the mammoth task of manually blowing up the airbed on shear breath! We had to all take it in turns due to fear of hyperventilating! We got up early New Years Eve and headed to Bradley Head to get a good spot to watch the fireworks. We all spent the day chilling on the beach playing games and

Good job too, as we had no money! We were playing the circles drinking game and got abso monkeyed.
having munchies waiting for the 9pm show. Jo and I had tickets to a Hedkandi night at Cargo bar, Darling Harbour back over in the city so we headed over to meet up with some other friends. We had a bit of a panic as our British bank cards stopped working and we had no money on us. This was a real dilemma but a mate of mine came to the rescue and lent us some bugs bunny! (Money) We later met up with Louise (B’mth girl) and several other guys from back home and all had a wicked night. We all went back to an after party in Kings Cross til the early hours and partied on! All the guys were really top and everyone had a good night to funky tunes. Getting back to Manly the next morning at 10am was a bit of an arse as we were so tired. Managed to call all the crewe back home though and wish them all a very happy New Year! It was good to here that everyone had gathered at the bungalow for the traditional New Years party. Got back to Rays and pretty much crashed out! Eriko cooked us a lovely Japanese curry in the eve and we searched for our new accommodation. We found a really cool serviced apartment right in the city centre which was reasonably cheap and the following day we moved in. Did a bit of shopping the next day and made the most of our apartment by cooking our first meal in over 2 months! It was awful!! Borrowed a mates internet following day and booked our flights to New Zealand - can’t wait ;-) Also acquired the first 6 episodes of 3rd series of Lost so spent another evening saving the pennies. I was in heaven... Went to travel agents next day to get some info on NZ and booked a Magic Bus Tour which will take us round both Islands. Met my old work mate for beers and pool in the evening and Jo got slightly tipsy! Met up with our Irish friends from Thailand next day and toured the Blue Mountains - so beautiful. I went out again with my work mate as Jo wasn’t feeling to good. Caught up with Lou and the crewe from New Year again following evening for a BBQ which was good fun. Chilled out

The Land of the Kiwi’s, Home of middle earth!
Glad to hear you both are well, it’s nice to hear what you have been up too. You are probably in New Zealand by now so why not meet a small Hobbit named Frodo, what an epic quest you will have! Or enlighten yourself with the Maori war dance ands stick ya tongue out as far as it will go! Snowboard down the phenomenal slopes, but please no broken legs! View the amazing wilderness, for a breathtaking experience! Twist and turn through the narrow canyons on a Jet boat for the sheer excitement! And I dare you a Canyon Swing at 150kph or maybe just a 440ft Bungee over the rugged Nevis River! Or just do the ultimate... and jump out off a perfectly good plane at 15000ft and plummet for 60 seconds towards the ground at 200kph. But just don’t forget the parachute!!!! Enjoy the adventure dudes!

Shiiiirrrrreeee....BBaaaaaGGGiiiiiiiiiinnnnnss
Once upon a time there were hobbits...Stephen, son of ronald, and Joanna, daughter of brian. They set out from their homeland of the shire on a quest of great importance...to save the world of men from the tyranny of Sauron and his minions of the southern hemisphere. Along the way to Mawdor (Just south of xchurch) they encountered many beings from all walks of life mostly swedish...... However, this did not throw stephen of bournemouth or joanna of hamworthy off their main goal, in fact this made their resolve even stronger than ever! They also stopped by a strange occurance that happens every month or so...the full moon party, said to be full of drunk dwarves, elves and gondorians, they had a blast! Sydney... gettin closer to the ever growing forces of evil in the west, here they saw in a new year marking the halfway point in their quest to mawdor and the turn of the tide, the board had been set the pieces were moving...Stephen and Joanna needed help...... They turned to Raymond of australia, he alone had the power to set Steve and Jo on their way...whilst also providing a firm residence and a solid job opportunity for thier return....Ray had played his part in this tale. They embarked onwards to the baron wastelands of Mawdor, steve and jo noticed they had picked up a straggler who had been following them for days on end....Omar had somehow picked up their trail, however it turned out he was returning to the plains of rohan where he thought he had left his wallet.... The pair of hobbits journeyed on unputurbed by Omar, they had come across some mushrooms on the side of the road and stephen had started picking them for food rations later in the journey when jo shouted "get off the road". They hid behind a famous tree...taking pictures all the while for stephens brother back in bournemouth.... Eventually they made it to mawdor saw all the sites did some extreme sports blah blah blah, its now 2 o clock in the morning here and i cant be f***ked to right anymore!! Dave just gone home...we been playin Project gothm 3 gettin the top spot in the world for a articular track and car! You know me expert racing driver!...well on any comp game anyway! We have nearly the same photos ....
Apart from I am fatter and Steve is older. Looking at your blog is like reliving Thailand, Singapore and Oz ourselves. Can't beleive we have exactly the same opinions. Arlie does get dull and the man made beach is only OK for a bit, Byron Bay cost us an arm and a leg. We would have beers in a hotel bar that looked over the water every night but it was always packed!! You Blue Mountain photos are identical we stayed at the Carrington Hotel did you see it and I nearly wet myself on that really steep train. Can't wait to hear about NZ....
