Hi again all...
Well its a new year and Im in a new city...Shanghai... I got into Shanghai around 8am and made my way to the Captain Hostel by subway.... The hostel cost 70Y or$10us a night in a dorm room with 7 others... The hostel is about a 5 min walk to the Bund... The rooms are OK but the bathrooms are a bit of a mess...(make sure you wear your shower shoes)....The internet is a expensive 20Y a hour... And one other thing, your are not allowed to bring in food or pop into the common room because of the fact that they want you to buy there crap....LOL... Just sneak it in.... After getting settled in I went to see what Shanghai had to offer... The weather was not that good and it was raining... My first stop was to the Bund area... Its a seawall that goes along the Haungpu river... The skyline could be spetacular except for the clouds that hover around the buildings... But all the same it was a nice walk... I then went to Huangpu park that is just off the seawall...This is suppose to be the first park in Shanghai... There

Save the money and drop the price...was to be a sign that is famous at the park that reads "No Dogs or Chinese Allowed" but I couldn't find it... The park was made by a Scottish gardener.... In one part of the park is the Monument to the People's Hero's... It seams to me that there are alot of monuments to people's hero's in China...LOL... I then went to the Bund Museum but found out that it will be closed for a year... O'well... So I went to the Bund Pedestrian Tunnel.... What a waste of 60Y... Don't waste your money... It starts off by taking you along in a cable car type car through a tunnel and there is some kind of light show.... The power could be use for better reason.... The tunnel goes under the river and comes out the other end... Once your at the other end you get to see a Fish Museum... There was only about 10 exhibits in all there... LAME... Then you go to the Sex Museum... This is not that bad considering that Im a guy and I like sex.... But at the same time you couldn't take pictures... But I did...LOL... It showed so Chinese art

I think this is the best Behavior... work that predicted sex.... And that was the end of the tour... But I did have a return ticket on that Tunnel ride... But I will save it until after I see what was onthe other side of the river... There was some impressive buildings here EX:The Oriental Pear Tower that looks like a funny needle and Jinmao tower that is the worlds 4th largest tower and China's tallest building... Also there is another seawall to walk up and down.... There was a Hooters restaurant... I wonder how business is at that place ...LOL... While walking down the seawall I was amazed to see a big ship in the Harbor that had a TV screen on it advertising for different companies ...LOL Can you imagine the Advertising budget for these companies to have a 20 ft by 60 ft sign on a 150 ft ship...LOL... Save the money and lower the rates of your products... I went back through the tunnel for that unimpressive light show and headed back to the hostel and took a shower.... I chilled out had some dinner down the street and then went with my camera back to see what the skyline at night would
be like... It wasn't great but I did manage to get some goood pictures... I walked along for about an hour and had a good time with it...
The next day I went to check out the Shanghai Museum... Now this place Rocked... It was 6 floors of Chinese history and I was there for 6 hrs and loved it all... They had Chinese Sculptures, Bronze, Jade and some paintings... All this for 40Y.... I good morning I must say... I then went to the train station to grab my next ticket to Wuhan where I plan to stay a few days... Then it was back to the hostel and shower and then head out to the walking street for some dinner....While on the walking street I kept getting bother for a Massage... There was this shot Chinese guy who just kept pestering me... I had my dinner at the No1 department store on the fourth floor... this restaurant was very good for the 38Y I paid... They sit you down at a table and they bring food to you... And you just take as much as you want.... I liked the concept.... With a full belly and a

These people help me celebrate New Years Eve... She's such a darling.... Starbucks in hand I went home to sleep the night away.... But on my way home that same little guy came up to me to get me to go for a sex massage... I tried to ignore him but he wasn't going away... So what I did was take my camera out of my jacket and took his picture...LOL.... I told him that if he bother me again I go to the police and show his picture and he could have SEX MASSAGE in jail...LOL well he didn't want to bother me again....LOL...When I got back to the hostel I played some cards with acouple of Scottish people and a girl from OZ... We sat there for about 2 hours taking the piss out of HI hostels in China and the Lonely Planet guide book... Im glad that there where others that felt the same way as I did about them...
The next day I just Spent some time trying to catch up on all these blogs with alot of success... I went to the internet place at the No1 food store on the walking street where the cost there is 3Y an hour... and the speed of the

Save the money and drop the price... connection was FAST... At the hostel they charge 20Y an hour and the I could run a messages to Canada and back faster.. I then went looking around Renmin Park or The Peoples Square... It was Ok... I got some nice Pics...In the evening I went just for a walk around the seawall... Shanghai has a very nice skyline and a great Museum but other that that for me there's not much else... Two or even three days is enough time to see Shanghai....
So today Im to catch my train to Wuhan which leaves at 2:25pm and the trip takes 17 hours... The cost is 400Y for a soft sleeper... I pack my bags and have breakfast and make my way to the train station and arrive there at 115pm... that should be enough time right.... NOT.... I go to the line to show my ticket and the guy waves me off...HUH...I don't know what he is saying and he didn't speak english... So I go to the ticket counter to try and find an English speaking person that cam help me.... It took about 8 mins to get that person to tell me that Im at the
The Sex Museum
This is shorty... wrong station and that the station that I should be at is on the other side of town...Now let me say one thing here.... I know that in China most cities have more than one station and when I bought the ticket I asked if I catch my train at this station...And the lady said in english YES.... I know she understood me too... But It was now 1:45 and I had to make my way to the other sid of town to try and catch this train... I run out of the station and grab a taxi... once in the taxi I told the guy where I need to go and he tells me some type of shit while we are driving... I then understand that he wants me to give him 150Y for a trip that should cost 35Y.... Are You Nuts!... Put on the meter and thats it.... He just started to talk shit and as soon as he stopped I got out of his Taxi and told him to F@#K off and jumped into another taxi... This guy was straight up... He knew that I need to get to the train station right away and He
moved through the traffic on the freeway like a mad man and I didn't give a shit.... I gave this guy 100Y for the trip that on the meter cost 29Y and said keep the change... I got onto the train just when the where closing the doors.... WoW was I lucky.... I found my Compartment and there was a young girl in there that was going my way to Wuhan...
