The Zoo....

Hi all, well im writing this as if it was the 2nd of january so just pretend...this was the day we went to the zoo and the night safari...
We happily got the metro and the bus to the zoo, im really good at the metro and public transpport now.
The zoo was set in secondary rainforest so was really hot and humid, there were welcome air-con shelter dotted around the park which i thought were a really good idea.
We were greeted by the free range orangutans being fed so you could get really up close to them. Another highlight was the white tigers, who went for a swim while we were watching (i always thought cats didnt like water!! but it was hot).
We saw an elephant show too, they were showing us what they would do if they were working elephants, pulling logs and making big splashes in the water with them. They also had a bath and were squirting everyone with water!!
We spent most of the day there, it was really nice.
After the zoo we headed for the night safari, this was just the zoo in darkness really...im sure some of the zebras looked familiar form earlier in the day!! alot of the animals looked like they just wanted to go to sleep too.
They had a night show too, which showed you owls flying over your heads and servals (a big cat) jumping up really high for its food. It was nice but i would have just been happy with the day one i think 😊.
We got back late ish and still had to pack for australia the next day, it was a late night and our hostel had suddenly filled up so we couldnt get on the internet (no one was obviously thinking about a fair usage policy!!! people were staying on hours!!)
Anyway we feel asleep for about 4hrs then had to be up at 4.45am!! (i didnt realise that was a time) to get to the airport........
