Holy smokes, my mom is a wife!

Wel he day came and my mom, Annettte Lyth has tied the knot wih her man, Scott Morrison (aka Mr. Lyth). It was a beautiful, simple and completey organic ceremony... No church or pastor, just a bautiful day, mom, Scott, Laurence and I and her parents Jean and Lise... typicallly simple and beautiful, like my mom. We also raised our glasses to the many people who would have oved to have been in Mendoza for this special occasion but could not make it. We thought of all of you and toasted all of our freinds and family. We were staying at a winery resort called Salentein, where we feasted on wonderful food and drank litres of wonderful Mendocinan Red wine, tough I know. It was a beautiful setting, situated amongst the green vinyards lying below the Andes. The climate was fresh from the altitude, a pleasant change from the muggy heat of Bs.As. We slept late, in giant king sized beds, a first for Laurence and I since we have shared a small double bed for the last 4 months, relaxed by the pool and rode horses in the early hours of the

day, into the foothills of the Andes. It was a great experience.

THe city of Mendoza was also a great town to relax and sip coffees under the enormous trees lining the roads. They have built canals everywhere throughout the city where they chanel the run-off from the Andes These ditches are lined with towering tress that sip from these aquaducts... very cool. The plan is up in the air right now but we are looking for a vehicle of some sorts since the buses heading to Bariloche are completely full until after the New Year. Will see what happens.
