We woke up to the sound of cows (somewhere behind our tent) and ducks quaking right outside the zipper door. So, early as it was, we decided to get up and go for an early morning swim in the ocean. It was only 8 AM but already so sunny and WARM! The water definately woke us up though! After a quick breakfast we packed up and headed on our way again. We drove towards Tolaga Bay, stopping to take some more great photos. We couldn't have asked for a better day. We stopped in the little town of Tolaga Bay, where Dennis' Dad was born. It is a cute and quiet place with miles of stunning beach and longest warf in New Zealand. We spent some time sitting on the beach, just taking it all in. We spent the afternoon making our way slowly to Gisborne, on the eastern coast. We took our time, stopping for a picnic lunch on yet another beautiful beach. We got to Gisborne around dinner time and found a holiday park in town, but right on the beach. Instead of staying on our tent, we decided to rent a little bunk house. It uses the same facilities as the rest of the park, but has a bed, table chairs and a porch. We decided to stay for a few days and relax a little and enjoy the SUN.

Memories
Thanks a lot for bringing New Zealand to our home. Reminds us of the great time we had there in 2003.
