Bus stop
This is the bus stop at Puerto Viejo in Costa Rica. We had to hang out for ages to catch a local bus over to Panama. When we got to the border the border people were on lunch break, we had to wait like 2 hours.Hi guys,
So i´ve spent the last few days in Bocas Del Toro which has been so relaxing, coming from Puerto Veijo! If you like surfing and just hanging out definately come here, it´s just some little islands off the carribean coast in panama. Must admit though christmas was a real non event, we had a huge party at the hostel christmas eve but seriously chrissy was like a non event.....hope everyone had a brilliant chrissy at home. From the sounds it was quite cold though, it rained here that really tropical weather and then it was just superbly beautiful weather after that!
The strangest thing happened last night too. I don´t know, all you surfers out there might be able to relate to this story....so we went out surfing in the morning....well Im just a learner so i watched a lot of surfing! They just drop you off in the middle of nowhere in the ocean for a couple of hours, anyway the locals over here are really possessive about their waves and one of the guys from the hostel got so pissed off with the local guys constantly taking all the waves and not letting any of

I stayed at Puerto Veijo for 2 days, it didn´t feel very safe for a single girl traveller so after i met this girl Cassie from the San Fran we decided to go to Bocas, it´s heaps nicer here too! Although the beach in Puerto was awesome for body surfing... the gringos on them he pushed the guy off his board. Anyway the local guy was seriously anmnoyed and threatened to kill the guy that night. And no joke, we went out that night and the 3 guys involved from the hostel got in heaps of shit. The local guys fired 2 shots at one and they pretty much had to run for their lives, pretty freaky really. They all fled the island this morning seriously early very shaken and just wanting to get out of here. Apparently that sort of thing has never happened before and today everything seems pretty norm. Its just odd thats all.
So........wish i was better at telling stories! But Im well and Ill write soon. Heres some pics of a snorkelling trip i went on yesterday.

g'day hay... n was on the phone to r today, and we got the address for your blog... i've only read the last entry that you made, but i'm looking forward to browsing through and catching up on your new adventure!! sounds like you're having fun! i have a friend from jamaica... she actually lives in london now, but gets back there just as often as she can... i'm hoping that the tide will take me there on day, but until then, think i'm pretty happy living the adventure through you!! have a ball... who knows when i'll see you again. peace.
