I just happened to be incredibly hung over this day and so didn't venture out til mid arvo. Sort of lucky cause it was a beautiful night for photos!
Good morning Man!!

Currently in Jamaica but thought i'd just fill you in on where i've been. Cause my photos to date are pretty lame for Jamaica, i'm going to post some up of Panama City aswell and a few of Bocas Del Toro! So far bocas has got to have been my absolute fav place that's for sure - good partying and great people and great weather. (ps Lauz I ran into your friend Stace at Bocas, she's looking fab!).

Jamaica has Great weather but oh my gosh, so touristy! Like I mean seriously so, I advise anyone who's planning to come here to hire a car so you can tour the country side without a huge expense! Dougs and I actually ended up hiring a scooter for 3 days to get around and have moved ourselves to the Westend in Negril. He is definately heading home this time, tomorrow in fact, so I'm heading to Treasure Beach to find some more natural Jamaican culture! Also beware ladies, Jamaican men are out to shag any tourist, Bridge and Liv, special warning for you 2 gorgeous girls!! he he you will be harassed to no end! Today, we're going

So, feeling energetic before I hopped on a plane for Panama City, me and Jane a girl from the hostel decided in the rain we would ride to Playa Del Drago. A beach on Isle Colon where we were staying, it was a beautiful ride but OH MY GOD, so hilly and muddy!! Came back with our clothes totally spattered and I'm just washing them today, 5 days later oops - really need to do some washing!
to hire some snorkelling gear and snorkel round the rocks then head to this cool bar called Ricks Place, I'll take some photos, it's pretty amazing.

Anywho, still having lots of fun in the sun, dodging Jamaican men by the dozen and reading thousands of books. If anyone has any tips on Argentina would love to hear them also cause I'm heading there soon!

Love Hay xx

ps. sorry a bit slack on the photos!

Panama City Canal

This is the Panama Canal Miraflores locks, just one of the many locks which exist here. Was very interesting to see how it all works, they pass through about 40 boats a day and are massive!
Panama City, AntiguoPanama City, Antiguo
Panama City, Antiguo

This is the most colonial part of the city. It's a long story but in short, way back the priates invaded panama city and destroyed everything, in fact the governor of the time set alight to the whole city so that the pirates would have nothing! So all of the poor people were taken as prisoners when the pirates arrived , the pirates then fleeing the city. The rich people then returned and took the rubble from the old city and rebuilt the churches in Antiguo. Thuscreatinga real colonial style area.

This is our scooter that we hired to cruise round negril. An essential becasue there is no such thing as a bus and the taxi drivers all want to rip you off so this has been great!

hello from home
Hi Hayley, good to see your smiling face. Do you think Jamaica is sooo touristy because of the New Year holiday season or is it like this all the time? It would be interesting to know. Riding around on the scooter looks like a lot of fun! Talk soon. Love Mum XX
