Hello.
I ended up spending yet another night in Canberra as i missed my re-booked bus by about 20 seconds, i did have the pleasure of watching it trundle out of the bus station when i arrived though, so instead of going back of the hostel i'd just checked out of i booked into a cheaper / shitter one for one night that was right across from the bus station, then went all the way back to the train station to book another ticket. Had an uneventfull day, but went and saw a lifeguard film with Ashton Kutcher and Kevin Costner which was all right, and was woken 3 times in the night - the first was a small spider crawling on me, the second was a funny looking fella with a speech inpediment who was talking in his sleep, and the third time was another insect crawling on me - i've no idea what it was except it was small, fat and ugly and possibly related to Wayne Rooney.
Managed to catch the bus 3rd time round and 3 hrs later i was on the train bound for Melbourne, the train took about 7 hours and arrived about
Melbournes Old Gaol
Formely home to Ned Kelly and other baddies 7.30pm. My hostel for the first 3 or 4 nights was King Street Backpackers and was $24 for a 16 bed dorm, then i discovered another hostel called Flinders Station Backpackers which had 4 bed rooms going for a bargain $21, it was also in a better location and i spent about a week and a half there. I did manage to apply for a bank account and a tax file number, spent 2 hours cycling down the Yarra river to some water falls, visited the Old Gaol, and walked around the F1 track which was cool as i could remember most the corners from the playstation, also i have spent many hours wandering aimlessley round the city. There was one really weird sunday here when i met up with the German dude i met in Canberra and went to the Queen Victoria market which was huge, anyway the weird thing was that it was about 42 degrees when we were at the market so we decided to seek air con in a shopping centre, after 45 minutes we decided to brave the heat again, got to the doors, felt the heat and decided not to bother, half an hour
My room
These hostels just keep getting worse! later we decided to try again and this time it was really cool, down from 42 gegrees to 22 in half an hour all because the wind changed. I think that the heat was being held in by all the smoke from bushfires and was blown away.
Since then i have moved down to Melbournes main beach area called St Kilda which is a nice little area full of cafe's and posh little bars and reminds me of Coggee Beach in Sydney, i have now recieved my tax file number and all my bank stuff so i can look for a job to relieve the bordem. A few days before christmas whilst sat in a bar some of the English cricketing clowns walked in (Pieterson and Hoggard i was informed), they walked back out pretty sharpish, loosers. Christmas day didn't feel like Christmas at all (except that it was cold, cloudy and wet!!!!) but was ok, i was up at 9.30am and started drinking at 10am and slowly worked through 20 bottles of beer in a very sensible manner without ever feeling very drunk- and no hangover the next day, christmas dinner consisted of a Steak and Cheese pie
followed by a serving of caramel kit kat, and in the evening i dined upon a 9" Peperoni pizza, Mama Mia!
Was meant to go to a Neighbours night except i was let down, i asked around the hostel for a replacement but everyone had already been to one, so seeing as its held in St Kilda about 2 minutes away from where im staying now i thought id go sometime in the New Year.
Right now i really need a job, the city is nice but there aint much to see and most things to do cost to much for the average backpacking tight ass like myself, so the days at the moment are really dull and the weather is very much like a british summer - cloudy and slightly chilly, after the tennis i might move on depending on what job i have or have not found.
Hope you all had a very merry Christmas and you all enjoy your New Years celebrations, no doubt most of you will be going to Terminal for rare change! Cya.

Alright pal, happy new year. Sounds like your still enjoying yourself even if it is becoming a little boring at times, well now you know how we all feel back here in this shit hole so make the most of it! We never went to Terminal, was in Doom wit Win, Nic and the black one, he was being his usual drunk miserable self so we quite rightly tore his boxers and ruined any slight chance he had of pulling. Well take care mate, and in the words of those gangstas of yours...PEACE!!!
