Spectacular scenery! Thanks for all the comments everyone, it is nice to hear from you.
As we slowly journey south, we have visited two small towns. Each town has been unique and very exciting. From the train station in Bangkok we first visited Hua Hin, a town catering mostly to older travellers. We rented motorbikes and explored the countryside, which was very fun. The motorbikes were only 200 Baht (rougly 6 canadian) for 24 hours. We winded through the outskirts of the town, weaving through mountains and enjoying the scenery. We actually got a little offroading in! The guesthouse we stayed at was expensive and we got eaten alive by bugs! We decided to leave Hua Hin and stay at the next town of interest, Prachuap Khari Khan (we can't pronounce it either).
We were only going to stay in this tiny town for one night but it seems that it has lots to offer so we have already stayed two. Our hotel costs us 10 dollars canadian per night, a great deal as we have a balcony and its very nice. We have been eating lots of delicous fruit from the local fruit vendors because its a good and healthy
as well as cheap. We have discovered a restaurant/stall with extremely cheap but delicious food, and a very nice lady who brings us random food we have never tried! To eat there fills us up completely and costs us usually 50 baht, under two dollars total. We decided to rent bikes again to see the whole area as it is way more spread out than Hua Hin.
There is a temple on top of a small hill that we were told to go up, and it wasn't all that impressive. There were however monkeys that were neat to see but they were not nice as they try to grab your belongings, especially if you are carrying something shiny. The monkeys were unfriendly and made weird noises but it was awesome to see them.
We went to the beach, which had spectacular scenery but the beach itself was not. As we were hanging around we noticed a mountain with a Wat (temple) on top, and thought it would be fun to hike up. We went back to town to get some water and shoes, and off we went. The hike was amazing as it had great scenery and was
What a place to be eh?
Pictures can't describe it. also a great workout. The top of the hike had great views and no one else was up there! Andrew had bad vertigo but he managed to still enjoy it and explore around the edge. We spent a couple hours on top of the mountain enjoying the scenery and looking at the little temple. By the time we got down it was fairly dark and we were hungry so we decided to eat at the good ol' place we have eaten almost every meal at so far in this town. We had a good night trying to talk to locals on the pier, telling them storys of Canada and how awesome snowboarding/skiing is.
We will probably leave for our next destination tomorrow, most likely a town called Chumphon. We are off to rent Kayaks now, take care everyone.
Miss ya lots, dont get too cold. Ahahahah

HAHAHA! I just figured out how to comment! You guys look to be having a blasty blast up there! I'm jealous to be honest. You keep descibing the food and it's starting to make me drool. You know I love oriental food Trev. I wonder if we have a thai food place in St. Albert *ponders to himself for a bit* Has Trev challenged anyone to RPS yet? Little thai guy giving him the blankest stare as Trev violently shakes his fist into different shapes? No? Yes? I'd hope so. That would be a good picture. Keep on rockin out guys and don't piss off the theiving monkeys!
