The end but not the track
Seems I did not capture the full track from Milford Haven to Dale Sunday 23 July 2023, day 8 of the walk. From Milford Haven to Dale.
Alltrails app: 5 hours 6 minutes walking. 10.8 miles. 922 feet elevation gain
Garmin forerunner 25. 5 hours 6 minutes walking. 10.76 miles. 750 feet elevation gain.
We started walking at 1120 and arrived in Dale at 1655.
Today we have two tidal inlets; one at Sandy Haven with low tide at 1628 and the other at Musselwick Sands with the same low tide. These were about five miles apart. Making the low tide crossings saved 6 miles of walking.
Michael will pick us up at around 5 at Dale.
The weather promise is no rain until 4 pm. So will try without rain pants.
We were on pavement until we left the town of Milford Haven. The town is larger, about 14,000 population.
We had a fair amount of brambles and fern clogging the trail today, catching clothes and the hiking poles.
Our timing got us to Sandy Haven at 1340 and the walkway was still underwater. Jo lead us to a picnic table where we snacked and waited another twenty minutes. At a little after 2:00

This got underway, turned 180 degrees and backed out. pm we crossed the inlet and started the five miles of up and down and brambles.
It was almost exactly low tide when we walked the long Rocky beach to the crossing. Once across only 0.6 miles to or pickup point in Dale.
