The monasteries of Meteora: Day 4 of Grecian road trip

Today we visited these amazing monasteries built high up in the mountains by those practicing the Greek Orthodox faith. While we saw several, we actually walked around the monastery of Meteora (for men) and the St. Stephens (for women).

We were able to invest ourselves in the history of the apostles and the ways in which religion is still alive and well in the area today. After that humbling experience we drive back to Athens where we found ourselves now.

Tomorrow we fly home and I'll take great memories with me. Greece has been good to us in many ways and it has quickly become a favorite place on the planet.
