Me holding a Koala
1 of my aussie musts down, 1 to go!! Arrived from Byron and instantly fell in love with the place. It was like an oasis in the middle of nowhere. Huge and i mean huge high rise apartments and office blocks going up everywhere, a beautiful beach and really chilled out pace of life. It's currently schoolies week out here so all the 17-18 year old girls and boys are out celebrating. It just like spring break in America. Hot chicks on the beach all day and then drunk girls out on the town, my heaven!
2nd day in Surfers, it was theme park day. They have loads of theme parks up here, Sea World, Dream World and Warner Brothers. We chose Dream World and it was great fun. The vertical drop ride (tower of terror) was bloody terrible and something I will never do again, twice the height of anything I'd ever seen and my stomach 2 days later is still slowly drifting down, yuk! The water rides were a welcome relief from the 35 degree heat. I managed to get one of my 2 'aussie musts' fullfilled here aswell, I got my photo taken holding a koala.
3rd and last day in Surfers I went to
Wet and Wild water park, I love water parks and this was a goodun! Loads of great rides and the worlds only Dive-in-Cinema over the wave pool. Great fun watching Jaws when you're having a swim. A little bit sun burnt after a full day in the sun. Came back for dinner at Hard Rock Cafe, one of my favs!
Surfers is awesome, helped by there being so many people around and a real party atmosphere. Brisbane next stop
