Limerick! Home of Angela's Ashes!

... yeah, actually, I never read that book. So I would not have expected to be in Limerick.

But this is where I change buses on my way to Gort and my next farm, so here I am. And no pictures - this cafe doesn't have a USB port either! By the time I get to Waterford, where they do have USB ports, I'm going to probably overload their server.

Speaking of Waterford - my plans have changed a little. Driving through Waterford on the way back from Cork, I saw all the banners for the Tall Ships Race - and all of the tall ships were in the harbour and they are GORGEOUS. Think Pirates of the Carribean, except bigger. So I've decided to go, because random decisions based on gut instinct are always fun times. Anyway, that's July 6-9, so that's when regular updates will start.

Ooh, subject change:
You know the Knight Bus in Harry Potter? Weaving in and out of buildings and defying all of the laws of physics in terrifying ways?
... yeah, that was my bus. Coming here.
This guy was FEARLESS. I think the locals on the route knew him, but the other backpackers (two german guys and a canadian girl) and I were just clinging onto the seats in front of us for dear life.
To his credit, he defied the usual thing about bus service at least pretending to attempt to be on time, and let us all out to have several tea breaks.
.... Ireland.

Oh, I almost forgot - in the past few days, Rosslare Harbour has had quite the drama! The fishermen put up a blockade around the ferryport. So there were guests in a panic because they were trapped on the wrong side of the Celtic Sea, or their family was, or their holiday was interrupted - and on the other side, the neighbors were all over having a party about it. (everyone who lives in rosslare harbour either fishes, or owns a B&B. Seriously. There's pretty much no other occupation.)

My last few days down at Rosslare were great, though - I am now an expert potato harvester. And tea maker. (Last night was great. We had a cup of tea, and then we did the dishes. Since doing the dishes was work, we all had another cup of tea to recover from that. Then we had to rinse out the tea cups, and since that would be work, we just skipped the intermediate step and poured more tea.)

Someone let me know how the casting of the summer musical went?

This will probably be the last entry for a good three weeks or so... there's a lot of little villages around the farm, but little villages do not have internet cafes.
Ooh, and for clarification - the gypsy caravan is just a style of caravan. And a caravan is basically a nice trailer. It's not like I'll be travelling around the countryside wearing a funny hat and playing songs on a banjo. So that's cool.

Okay, I'm off!

musical
Okay Haley, here's the basic summer musical scoop. Glenn is Adam Pontipee, with Kayla as Milly. The other brothers are Anthony Koch (Benjamin), A.J. Massey (Caleb), Charlie Sutterlin (Daniel), Johnathon Rivers (Ephraim), Casey Gregg (Frankincense), Alex Zolnerowich (Gideon). The other brides are Kathleen Stout, Whitney LaBarge, Hannah Baker, Maggie Boatman, Brianna Reed, and some other gonna be freshman that I don't know. Yep, there's the scoop, yo. Have a nice time in your fantasy land, you lucky bastard. - Alex
