Our final day

Sunday 23rd February

All good things sadly come to an end.



Still one more day before we fly home but not before enjoying another day in our favourite spot admiring the views from our comfortable cocoon.

Jay with his lovely smile comes along with the ice cold towels, sprays our faces with scented rose water and cleans our sunglasses.

Not so sure I’ll be doing that for Mr.M when we get home.



After the rain last night the day started a little cloudy but it doesn’t take long for the blue sky to appear.



It’s been a lovely last day, we have had a wonderful relaxing time here in Mauritius at the Ambre Resort Hotel, Belle Mare. We have memories too from previous visits with all that this beautiful island has to offer.



The skies have clouded over this afternoon so it was a good time to pack the suitcases, it doesn’t take too long and I know it may be a little OCD but I colour code the return packing so that when home I just lift one pile of a certain colour straight into the washing machine, that way it saves having to sort through everything.

Sad I know !





What will we miss?

The beautiful turquoise lagoon.

Our walks along the shady pathway at the rear of our room with it‘s fabulous flowers, palms and the views across to the mountains.

The friendly little birds.

The evening fly past of the bats.

The walks along the beach with the palm trees giving shade when needed.

Swimming each day in the warm crystal clear water.

Our cocoon service and that beautiful scented rose water spray.

The ambience and friendly atmosphere of the hotel.

Last but not least The smiling faces of the attentive staff but in particular Ursula - Indigo Restaurant hostess, Jay - Beach & Cocoon Service, Sunjay - Dolce Vita waiter, Ragini - Maid service, & Nalini - Spa Therapist.



As this holiday comes to an end, we’re not sad because it means we can look forward to our next trip which will be in May to Funchal, Madeira for the annual Flower Festival & another celebration our Golden Wedding Anniversary.
