Good holiday vibrations still hum around Baga, situated in the North of Goa. The beaches are filled with sundecks, upon which hundreds of white bodies stretch lazely across, soaking up the sunshine. Visitors to Baga are treated with true Indian courtesy, and whilst basking in the sun, you can request anything your hear desires including cool drinks, books, jewellery, clothes, ciggarrettes, or fruit which you recieve almost immediately. Cocktails, restaurants, Karaoke, fireworks and nightclubs are in mass production here. Brittish Lager Louts can be spotted from a far, and make my skin crawl. Unfortnately, it is only a matter of time before Baga is over-run with these vermon, stamping out the last of India's true nature within Goa.

Last night we went to a nightclub called Cubbanna, which was the nicest nightclub i have ever been to. Most of the club was outdoors, and green tropical plants decorated the stone, cobbled pathways, The palm trees were lit with fairy lights. It had a pool, with four-poster beds and comfy egg chairs surrounding. Walking around, there were many twists and turns to the club, revealing different sections, giving of a diffrent mood from other parts. Inside, was a dark huge dancefloor,

with stars and suns painted in UV on the walls, and mirrors on the pillars, lit with small lights. We paid 4 pounds to get in and the bar was free for the remainder of the night. It felt like we were at a garden party in which Tom Cruise was the host.

The next night, I went clubbing again, and ended up sitting on the beach from 4 to 9 in the morning talking with a man called Tyson, who does trekking all over India, Pakistan and Tibet. He talked to me in Hindi mostly, which has really pushed my understanding of the language. Im determined to become fluent!

I now have a tattoo of a fairey, with a green dress, and rainbow wings reaching for a star on my ankle. It took an hour, wasnt painful, and i love it! My tattoo artist and his friend are great fun, last night we sat in his shop drinking beer and once again playing Pig.

The sunshine of Goa is beautiful and relaxing, the people are friendly and kind, however it is too easy, too Western, too lazey and too expensive for me. Nor am I connected with India, Im desperate to scurry up a hill, sit in a shop and drink Chai or sit on an Indian train once again.

We leave to Bangalore tonight on an over-night train which will take 15 hours. Im very excited

Jealous
Emma-chan, I am highly jealous of your travels - I have always wanted to go to Goa (and will do, one day). Not too sure about your over-crowded trains, but realise that is the way to travel and see the real India. Bangalore will be different after Goa, where you seem to have been spoilt rotten, but I am sure you will enjoy it anyway. Have fun and take lots of piccies for when you get home! I can't wait.
