Atlantic City Senator Frank’s Farley State Marina

Sunday November 12th 2006

Atlantic City, NJ

Today the weather here is heavy rain with gusty wind, We all can’t wait to get south!!!

Since the last update, we set sail last Wednesday Nov 8th from Manhattan to Sandy Hook NJ. Where we ended up staying two nights at the Atlantic Highlands Marina before setting sail for Atlantic City on this past Friday. We are at the moment still here at the Atlantic City Senator Frank’s Farley State Marina, and this is our third day here waiting for a good weather window to set sail south!!!!
Tomorrow morning the plan is to set sail around 5 or 6am to head farther south. We are all hoping that the weather will calm down so that we can cross the Gulf Stream. For the past week we have been living Cold Front after Cold Front and at the moment there is three cold fronts at one time on the Atlantic. So tomorrow if the seas and wind stay strong as they are at the moment we will have to divert to Norfolk Virginia, and wait one more day before crossing the Gulf Stream.

We will keep our web site updated with a daily position report, if you want to see our progress go to: www.WeBeSailing.com and click on CLICK TO LOCATE US. Our position report will go out each day around 9am which should update our site shortly after.

Cheers from all of us onboard s/v My Love III,
Caroline, Marcel, Miro & Myself

Thank you for all your great comments, we love reading them… Keep them coming..

Weather break
We sure hope that you get a break in the weather soon Eric, you must be itching to get to warmer water and weather. Even here in Montreal there has not be two back to back nice days in the longest time. Ambition is all tucked away for the winter, She had her bottom sandblasted (nice and buff now!!!) no signs of osmosis nor any signs of any Interprotect ...hhhuummmm. I now know what I am doing in the spring. I enjoy your news ... keep it up. May the beam reach be with you soon! Merrill, Cindy and the girls

Well, the weather is not cooperating!!! Glad to know that you are erring on the side of caution. Would hate to think of you out on the briny in all conditions. It has to become calm and sunny sometime, doesn't it???? Weather in Montreal is very much the same. Lots and lots of clouds and according to the forecast much more of the same for the rest of the week!! But at least it's mild which for me is an enormous blessing. Very Briitish weather, don't ya think. Will visit your location on your website!! Lotsa luv Eric, Fay xxxxx
