One Night Only!!!

On the 23rd, Luke and I headed off on our two week trip through europe. We began in Amsterdam, which to be honest, didnt give our trip the best start!!!!

When we arrived in Amsterdam the first thing we needed to do was find accomodation, which we thought would be simple....until an hour and a half later, when we had walked around the whole city in the pouring rain at night with our backpacks on being constantly informed by each hotel that they had no occupancy! Finally, we found a little hotel, in which we got a terrible room covered in grafiti and reeking of marijuana!!! So, then and there we decided that one night in Amsterdam was enough!

However, the next day we decided to make the most of the day and still try and discover as much of this city as we could. Once out of the red light district, we actually found that Amsterdam was quite a nice place.

There are many beautiful old buildings and peaceful canals, which we strolled by. We also found a very pretty park, and many amazing chocolate stores.

The people in amsterdam spoke amazing English, and were so lovely and polite, which made our day quite nice.

Toward the end of the day it began to pour down with rain again, so we decided to head off to Hamburg to visit Jakob, Chris and many other Aussie mates!
