DUSTY HILL 19 May 1949 - 28 July 2021 bearded bassist of ZZ Top dies at 72

"We are saddened by the news today that our Compadre, Dusty Hill, has passed away in his sleep at home in Houston, TX. We, along with legions of ZZ Top fans around the world, will miss your steadfast presence, your good nature and enduring commitment to providing that monumental bottom to the ‘Top'. We will forever be connected to that "Blues Shuffle in C.”
You will be missed greatly, amigo.
Frank & Billy

Together for over 50 years...Who can forget their breakthrough hit in 1973, La Grange, an ode to the Chicken Ranch, a notorious brothel outside of a Texas town by that name. The Album "Tres Hombres" still one of my favourites...Denise & I fortunate to have seen them live.
