Basically, as we have only just decided to do this, im going to copy my facebook messages to my Mum as I can not be bothered to start from the beginning:-

Hi mum! ive tried switching my phone to pay as you go and keep my old number byt it hasnt worked yet, so havnt been able to ring, also cant find a phone anywhere!! We have arrived safely after a fire on the plane, 6 rows up from us the overhead spotlight caught fire and they had to use a fire extinguisher!! quite exciting 😉 oh and watched a total of 3 films, two you will like - thor and super 8, you will like both and hangover2. the hostels ok, quirky 😉 thers some construction going on outside near our room so got some discount which is always good.

got another night here then go to copacabana hotel. weathers a bit poo, michaels sulking as its not ´scortchio´ as he would put it, muggy, humid and cloudy but its ok. it was thundering and lightening in the night which woke us up. weathers meant to be better tomorrow so going to do christ redemer and sugar loaf on a tour. language barrier is evident, we ended up with a pizza pasty and a frothy juice drink which tasted of mint!!! ill try an ring you when I can, love you and look after the cats and dad xxxxx michael says hello xxx

Hello mother! well my and michael are now totally fried!!! michael has never looked redder!!! he certainly got his sun!!! last 2 days, we have been up at 6, been for our 1 hour/2 hour walk along copacabana beach. On wednesday we went to see christ redeemer, it was cloudy all morning until we got up there and the clouds disappeared for a whole 10 minutes allowing us to get our snaps!! it also co-incided with its 80th birthday so it was packed, a band polaying happy birthday and a huge birthday cake which i fought with my elbows to get a piece for us!! we also saw some waterfall and then these steps forgot the name something like galapa?? all made out of tiles, the guy was there who did it too, and apparently he changes it all every couple of years, was quite impressive.

Then yesterday we were ont he beach in the morning where we were typical english and burnt! late on we went up sugar loaf, that was great 360 degree amazing views of teh whole of rio! started raining a little but didnt ruin it, we got the gondalers up! and then... we got scouted for a TV programme HAHAHA. called which tree is this? (in brazil) where they interviewed me then michael, asking us loads of different questions, well as you can imagine the rain had frizzed up the hair so i think il have given brits a bad name for nice hair 😉 jess will be proud! we then went for all you can eat pizza, now the brazilians have got it right, about 8 pound for all you can eat pizza, but they come round slice after slice of different options, so we tried everything! was yummy! been on the beach today (avoiding the sun) and shops, lots of nice shops but im not allowed in any 😞 anyway love you lots mum! xxxx

Hello Mother dearest!!! Im having one of the best birthday weekends!! maybe the best even!!! Cant remember where i was up to last time, we went to a small island ilha grande - beautiful but pissed wet through, nearly dies after a 4 hour hike to nearly get stuck on a remote beach, was definatley not worth it!! then went on to a smaall old town called paraty you would have loved it, very pretty and old, cobbald streets an all, horse an cart an all that jazz. Was really good!! Anyway we then took the greulling (no idea how to spell it) hard... 24 hours travelling, overnight bus to foz (where iguassu falls is) anyway got pretty travel sick on the first bus so michael got me some travel sickness tablets (we hoped) an they made me really drowsy, so i took another one for the over night bus an i slept pretty muc all the way 😉

then we had our first day at igussu falls, mum it was amazing, it was the brazilian side so we got the whole picture of the falls, from far away, it was incredible, you can see the pictures ive posted, an the noise is so loud, then..... definatley my highlight Michael treated me to a helicopter ride over the falls!!!!! that was the best thing ever, i was in the cockpit with the pilot!! today we went to the argentina side, where we got to get up close to the falls, again incredible!! you an dad would love it mum, its the best thing ive seen!! you really have to do it! then we took a boat ride into the falls itself!!!! we got so wet, was really fun!! had a brilliant day. Enjoy the pictures!!! Wwere off to paraguay tomorrow for a day trp!! love you lots xxxxxxxxx

Hi mum had a great birthday, went to Paraguay In the morning to a black Market- you don't need to visit there, once is enough! Then came back to brazil, where michael had organized a supeize party in a guest house place, all our tour group, lots of pink balloons, we had a BBQ and cake nd spent all evening in the pool! Then got a night bus to bonito, arrived early an then went for a 7km bike ride up an down hills in the baking heat to this river where we went swimming- so nice and clear an snorkelled with the fishies, we also saw a caimans croc a little down the river!! I did lots of swimming an decided to swim against the current for ages, forgetting we had a bike ride back!!! Started back another 7km bike ride back at 5 in the evening temperature 35 degrees still!!! It didn't go to well, think I over did it in the sun and swimming too much had a little episode, nearly fainted hyperventilated couldn't breath an all that, michael was really good calmed me down and got me to concentrate etc, after a while walked the rest, we went out for tea, made myself go as needed to eat, felt much better after eating then slept for 10 hours!! And guess what... I ate crocodile!!! Caiman type! Was really nice, it was a cross between fishy chicken!! 😊 not sure what we are doing today, have a look round the town probably, off to pantanal tomorrow morning wetlands- so won't have any contact for a few days, there's no electricity! Anyway love you lots xxxx
