After my spiritual signal moment with Maná this morning, Bira and I headed off to some bakeries in Santo André, the suburb within São Pãolo where he lives.
Forget about Brumby's (whose pastries are crap anyway); forget about Baker's Delight (whose pastries are really good) - the bakeries here in Brasil are fantastic and filled with my favourites - coxinha. For about AUD2.00 Bira and I had coffee/tea & pastries for breakfast at two separate bakeries. It's amazing!
However, I'm still going to be on the lookout for a coffee shop that surpasses Brunetti's skill in the art of cannoli making...mmmmmmm.
