Spent the morning wandering around Copa after checking out
Didnt have much to do

Met up with Luke,Carol and Neil at the cathedral and we had a look around
It is such a becautiful cathedral
the white stone glistened againt the gorgeously sunny bright blue skies
biology blue infact!

inside it is all very ornate and brightly coloured, pretty cool
Then we went around to the candle chapel which was very gloomy and dungeon like

After a quick pootle around the markets we went to ´café bistrot´ for an early lunch before catching our busses to la paz
I had a delicious home made cheeseburger....not quite as good as mums though

then i said goodbye to luke, carol and neil
hoped to see them in la paz for dinner or something

the hotel gave me a lift to the bus we were taking on the minibus
outside while waiting to get on the bus i got talking to an irish guy and we ended up sitting next to each other
was nice to chat for some of the 3and a half hour bus journey.

Coming towards la paz is an amazing view
the city is vast and streches out so much
its a brilliant view
once off the bus i got a taxi to the hotel and went up to my room
Im sharing with a 30yr old called sara who is from canada but teaches in an international school in malaysia
she is a little bit strange and i think bulimic as she is unhealthily skinny but she seems really genuinely nice
we chatted for a while then went for our briefing and to meet the rest of the group

it was so ncie to meet everyone and although im the youngest they dont seem to be too old
mostly in their 20´s
and huge bonus only 2 couples!!!!!
perfect!!
and im not the only person travelling alone
most of them have come alone

we all went for dinner in another hotel nearbye
i had a steak thing, it was huge! didnt eat it all
then Sam, a really nice physiotherapist from kings hospital and i went out partying
we went to a restaurant to meet some guys, Ed and Christian, from another gap group and the owner, Alex who speaks really good english who theyr friends with
Ed is in the army and has just got back from 7months in Afghan, hes really nice. Christian is german and ´likes to make party´ safe to say his english is good but hilarious and he is the most alkward thing ever on the dance floor!
we went to a club which had really great live bolivian drum music
then salsa
we danced ALOT!
then we moved on to a more western music playing club where we danced till it closed at 330
from there we went to blue a tiny little attic of a club
at 5 i was getting pretty exhausted so we went back to the hotel
530 i was in bed!!

tiredness!!!!!

Gooness me!
Darling I struggled to get internet access in Lanzarote but I have since returning caught up with reading all your blogs! Two things strike me...Your diet! Pancakes galore! Also taxis! But it sounds as if you are having a fantastic time, I can't believe you are doing all these amazing things and a bit of me is sorry that you dont have a friend or someone to share it with...I wish I was there. Keep away from men who have been travelling for 25 years! His story will certainly have been embellished! Enjoy the remainder of Bolivia ( cant wait to see the photos of you in trad costume!!). Do take great care darling and don't take unecessary risks. Loving your stories. Missing you masses mumma xxxxx
