After all the usual morning things i checked out the hotel and went and bummed around Puno all morning.
There really isnt all that much to do there.
Had a fab lunch in a restaurant called Heros
I had a huuuuuuge chicken and salad and mayo sarnie.....yumms

I picked my things up from the hotel and got a taxi to the bus terminal and found my bus
Lots more gringos on this one...infact all gringos. Met some nice aussies
Took 3hours in total to get to Copacabana

The funniest thing happened when we got to the Peru/Bolivia border at Yunguyo
We all had to get off the bus
Change our money then get our passports stamped peru side
then WALK across the border to Bolivia where we had to re-stamp our passports
Very confuzzling
Then the bus drove over and let us back on
What a curfuffle

From there it was a really short drive to the beautiful but far from glamerous town of Copacabana
I walked up to my hotel up on the hill called the ´Hotel Utama´
It was really lovely
For just 10dollars a night i got the most comfortable double bed i have ever slept in, hot water, a humungous breakki, free fruit and water, minibus transfers etc
peeeerfect

After getting settled i went in search of dins
Watched the beautiful sunset over the lake then found a little restaurant called ´La Orilla´
I sat on the only table for 2 which was elevated as if on a stage all on my own
felt loney
however
the delicious fajitas soon cheered me up
they were perfection

then it was off to bed ready for the early rise tomorow to get the boat to the Isla del Sol

xxxxxxxx
