Once the three grannies had finished knitting their woolly hats, they ajourned to the upper deck for pisco sours and a rousing game of bingo, then ripped up the dance floor ´til the early hours. Penny especially pulled out some stunning moves on the d.f.

Much as we thought the cruise ship concept slightly outside of the norm for us, it was actually fantastic. Spectacular fiords, glaciated carved rock, obsidan black water, snow settling nearly down to sea level. Opening the door from the stuffy cabin often stopped me in my tracks, with breathtakingly cold wind and scenery.

In between the scenery breaks, we made friends by learning how to slack-line in front of PIO XI glacier, and a challenging (difficult to stop it flying over the side) and giggly game of soccor with the last of our balls of wool.
