After 3.5 weeks in and around Mendoza catching up with my South American family and friends the kids and I are off to Disney World in Orlando. Yip! Yip! Yip!

It's certainly going to take along time getting to Orlando. We travel from Mendoza to Buenos Aires, Argentina then to Montevideo, Uruguay, then to Panama City,Gulf of Mexico before continuing to Orlando, a total of 25 hrs in transit and 8819 kms. That's 352 km/hr so still quicker than driving, if you could!

Our combined tickets (3 people) for this trip cost $US3357. A cheap fare! For about 4 times the cost we could have travelled twice as quick. (Shorter route). The benefit is obvious, save on the flight so I can shop in New York!

YES!

We left the apartment in Mendoza this morning at 08:00 and boarded Aerolineas Argentinas flight 1413 for Buenos Aires at 11:40. We waited 5 hrs for our next short flight (45 minutes) to Montevideo and had a 7 hour wait before boarding Copa Airlines flight 446 at 02:40 for Panama City. This leg was just over 7 hrs and we finally got some "shut eye". A very quick transit in Panama City (<40 minutes) and we boarded flight 284, another Copa Airlines flight for the final 3.5 hour leg to Orlando.
