Our friends from Portland, Steve and Barbara, joined us for six busy, fun filled days in Buenos Aires. The day before their departure, we boarded the ferry rapido for a one hour trip to Colonial Del Sacramento, Uruguay. Our passports were stamped and we spent the day in this very well preserved, historical town (UNESCO site). Cobblestone streets, original stone entrance and draw bridge, 1930 cars ,some working some not -- you get the picture! This was a laid back, relaxing day, far from the hustle of Buenos Aires, but only a one hour boat ride away.
