El 18 de Noviembre llegamos a Lima para encontrarnos con David, el hermano de Juanma que venía a viajar con nosotros por un mes. Casualmente al día siguiente apareció otro amigode Alcorcón, Yesus. Ahora ya éramos cuatro viajando.
The 18th of November we got to Lima to meet David, Juanma´s brother who came to travel with us for a month. By coincidence another friend from Madrid, Yesus, got to Lima as well so we were four travelling together.
En lima estuvimos un par de dias haciendo couch surfing en casa de un limeño un poco peculiar, Edison. También había un par de chilenos y un francés que aparecía y desaparecía a altas horas de la madrugada. Salimos con los chilenos y Edison a ver un concierto de puretas rockeros. Lo pasamos muy bien esa noche, muchas risas hasta el amanecer.
In Lima we were doing couch surfing in Edison´s place, a guy from Lima quite peculiar. There were two chileans guys as well and a french who used to disapear late at night. We went out all together to a rock concert. We had a great time that night laughing till the sunrise.
Después de Lima nos dirigimos hacia Pisco, ciudad que fué arrasada en 2007 por un terremoto y que aún se está recuperando lentamente, pues las ayudas económicas se quedan en manos de políticos corruptos. Desde allí hicimos una excursión a Isla Ballestas y Parque Nacional de la península de Paracas. En Isla Ballestas pudimos observar muchas aves y leones marinos y en Paracas un impresionante desierto con fósiles marinos y playas de arena roja.
From Lima we went to Pisco, a city that was distroyed by a earthquake in 2007 and is still slowly recovering because corrupts politicians hold the economic aids for themselves. From there we visited Isla Ballestas and Paracas National Park. At Isla Ballestas we watched many birds and sea lions. Paracas is an awsome desert with marine fossiles and red sand beaches.
De ahí partimos hacia el oasis de Huacachina, rodeado de dunas gigantescas donde se practica sandboarding, y unos hostales con piscina donde relajarse, disfrutar del sol y comer un rico ceviche. Después de Huacachina nos separamos de Yesus que fué hacia el sur y nosotros tres hacia una ciudad en los Andes, Ayacucho.
Afterwards we headed to Huacachina
oasis, surrounded by huge dunes where you can practice sandboarding, and nice hostels with swimming pool where we could relax, enjoy the sun and eat delicious ceviche (tipical seafood plate). Then Yesus went to the south and our three went to a city in los Andes, Ayacucho.
Ayacucho se encuentra entre montañas, es un lugar tranquilo y no muy turístico, por lo tanto es un lugar agradable de visitar. En los alrededores de Ayacucho visitamos unas ruinas preincaicas, de la llamada cultura Wari, y un par de pueblecitos con mucho encanto, de mayoría indígena y habla Quechua. Uno de esos pueblos, Quinua, es famoso por su bonita artesanía.
Ayacucho is located between mountains, is a quite place and not turistic, so it is a nice place to visit and to get involved with the locals. Around the city we visited some preincaics ruins from the Wari culture, and a couple of pretty little indigenous villages where they speak quechua (inca language). One of those villages, Quinua, is famous for its fine artscrafts.
Desde Ayacucho viajamos a Cuzco, el camino de 19 horas en autobús goza de impresionantes vistas de montaña. En Cuzco nos reencontramos
con Yesus para planear nuestra ascensión a Machupichu, de lo cual disfrutaréis en nuestra próxima entrada. Hasta entonces portaros bien amigos.
From Ayacucho we travelled to Cuzco, the 19 hours trip has an incredible mountains views. Once in Cuzco we met Yesus again so we could plan our trip to Machupichu, you will enjoy this in our next entry, till then behave yourselves dear friends.
